No lynching is a bad option 95% of the time and is a terrible option here. With the slim majority we have, I don't see any reason to carelessly throw away one of our best chances out taking out a scum/3p and give them a free opportunity to slaughter us.

Actually want to know the cognitive process behind random voting fire considering relative mislynchability of slots.
How is no lynching a remotely good idea?

I have role information that tells me this is 100% scum.
Ummm, no. Lycnh all liars.

The main thinkin' I've been comin' to is not that the shorty-pirate be scum o' some sort, but rather that callin' him town seems for suggestin' a no lynch be a bit superficial.

Both these statement be ticklin' me ears in funny, slightly distressin' ways.
We be voting fire because he be bringing fire on a ship full of wood and gunpowder. That thar' is scummy behavior if ever there was.
If my parrot and I wanted to see some non-scurvy hands walk the plank, there be better options than some silly sailor who not be list'ning to the wise words of Smokey the Piratebear: "Only ye' can prevent ship-fires."
Why do ye think Firebringer has a shorter plank than the rest of the lot, and why do ye think that matters so early in the voyage?
Playing history, and never too early to throw shade, get some info see what the peeps say to stuff. The wagon speed is giving me hibbiegibbes but not sure if it's because it could be a gambit or because scum are thirsty, but we'll find out.
What issue do you have with rm, considering he came out and stuck his neck out very early? He's never struck me as someone who would take huge play risks of being snap-lynched unlike someone like a me or a reck or something.

On the topic of possibility of lyncher, is it best idea to ignore it, I haven't read all the roles just some that got me curious, so first off, is there anything that could have a result atm? If not, how likely is it that we're going to have to find a way to shoot lyncher turned jester (if I understand it correctly) before they create a day early lylo? Which could come early considering the potential for a bunch of deaths.

if we lynch a 3rd party
the other 2 3rd parties will resent us
That's not necessarily a given, but it is a possibility that I didn't consider.
I guess we'll have to talk it out with them, then. I'm not wholly convinced that at least one of them is not Mafia, though. So, we might be better off just lynching a claimed 3rd party anyways. We'll miss town, and have a chance to hit Mafia, if one of them is a fake claim.
However, this is my first role madness game (other than an abandoned Lawless game where I was a Survivor), so I'm probably not the one that should be talking about ideal D1 play.

And just policy lynch them with me snarky. So much easier then having to ask for a translation every five seconds.
One more post about policy lynches and I'll DayVig you. Regardless of what kind of PR I actually have.

Why?
I'm all ears.
In post 285, Xkfyu wrote:However, we already have claimed 3rd parties. So, assuming they aren't town fake claiming 3rd party, we can guarantee that we don't lynch town.
I can't see any benefit for a townie faking a Third Party PR. However, I can seedamn good reasonsfor a Mafia (or a Third Evil) to fake Third Party PR.
Actually Xkfyu's 289 pretty much explains everything.
And why for the sake of all the dancing little nymphs need we care how much the other third parties will resent us? The Neutral Killing is someone we should get rid of, and the same goes for eg. Cult/Auditor (their WinCon don't match ours). What you're saying might be true for certain Neutral Benign PR-s but we don't even know whether they exist at all.
In post 306, droog wrote:couldnt "town random" become "vt"?
No.
Random Townies are PRs randomized from the Town-PR categories. There's one Government, Protective, Investigative and Killing. The other three could fall into any of those categories. (With certain restrictions.)
In post 308, SnarkySnowman wrote:I'm down with a massclaim. I am Busdriver.
Stop massclaiming.
That's how we started going down last time.
Also, I think this claim was actually fake.
See above??? See what above what??
And town won last game? Or did I miss a game of this? Idk
