Well what the fuck.

I totally and utterly agree with a train on...

Spoiler:
Dunhamganger

In his D1 play, it did feel like he didn't give a shit, but that can easily be misconstrued with scum struggling to post. He was a bit fency with Cho, wanting to vote but not placing anything. Finally when he did vote, he gave no reasoning and I just found the way he did it to be scummy.

Overall, this is my reads list under this line! Ask me about my reads, as if I just post a huge Wall no one will read!

Spoiler:
Town
  • Tool
    TBP
Null-Town
  • T S O
    Rubicon
Null
  • Jargo
    Riptide
Null-Scum
  • MTD
    Egg
Scum
  • Burning_Earth
    Dunhamganger

VOTE: Dunhamganger

So, what's up avrybuddy? Gimme some thoughts.

B_E and Dunham reads are definitely separate, I don't think if one flips town my opinion on the other would change, but of course there are things that can change my opinion! (winkwink)

Experience doesn't mean that you're automatically better than me, B_E! Also, I think I've been playing longer than you, maybe?

I feel like you and your other head may be on different pages :p

Your vote for Cho was what really made me think that you're town, it seemed almost cocky, and you were sure of yourself. I don't see scum being so open on that vote, especially with the votes being split day 1. Of course, there is the off chance you and Riptide are partners and you went to get your not partner lynched, but after I did a quick scan through, I doubted this.

B_E just feels like lynch bait to me, an easy lynch without much thought because he's done basically nothing except for a dumb ass quick hammer. I think even my own scum read on him might be more based on that he's an easy lynch target and someone who isn't helpful rather than scummy.

@TSO: I agree that scum would normally give reasoning, where someone giving no reason feels more town, but dunham didn't seem to give a shit either. I think his no reasoning might just be null.

Well I was mostly going off on Dun because of his Day 1 play. His vote on Cho felt scummy and overall I got the feeling that he didn't know what to post Day 1, rather than completely not giving a shit. I read that as scum because that's what I've done as scum.

I also think you're minor attack on me last page felt opportunistic and scummy, do you really think scum would say that they won't be posting then go and chit chat away elsewhere? Where's the scum motivation there? I don't see it. Pointing out a low activity level, seems out of place when there are so many other things for you to comment on, scum looking for something to say I think.

Then your tunnelling on B_E was just disappointing in terms of how hard you are conf biasing that shit.

Developing a read also includes giving reasoning behind it, which you hadn't gave. Then when you did give reasoning on B_E, your post felt so incredibly forced and just pure tunnelling. You did give some opinion in the second post, but nothing fleshed out or meaningful.

So why bring up talking level after you had been here less than a day?

You were asked for a case on B_E and you gave a big list of random crap that looks like you quickly ISOed him and just threw it together. I think it was weak at best.

p-edit: Tunnelling is confirmation bias. You had a scum read on B_E and were asked for a case. The result was what I said above, you had no solid points but still called him scummy.

Any thoughts? Would you call me out as scummy for being survivalistic, or are Town not allowed to want to avoid guaranteed mislynches?

Another masterpiece indeed. Looks like someone trying to make some noise and hoping nobody hears what they're actually saying
I see the opposite here, looks like he's just failing at trying to get attention.

I'm not really invested in this game.
1. Again, not how town that knows they should die would play. They'd be trying to be as useful as possible.
2. Bullshit. He was actually pushing Riptide until the heat on himself got turned up.
I think B_E generally plays a very selfish game. Both of the points you made point exactly to this.

Sorry for the quote wall. Overall, SK, your argument, to me, feels like something put together without much previous thought. I'm not sure you outwardly called him fully scummy very much here, yet you had such a strong scumread.

Anyways, I'm tired, I'm going to eat and pass out soon. Good night!

That doesn't explain away all his behavior. I previously mentioned that he never went anywhere with his Riptide case, or even explained it. Why would a town BE do that?
How many times do I have to say this? I think B_E is being fairly scummy. I think SK/Dunham were being scummier. To me is sounds like SK is scum going after an easy lynch with halfassed reads or scum bussing their partner because their partner is an easy lynch and good for town cred. There is a good amount of gut in there too. I don't know if SK is being full out scummy to this point, but at best he's null for me and Dunham came across as scum to me.

And then at SK's post after: You seem to think that my points are pointing to B_E being town, no I'm saying most of your points can be taken either way and are null at best. Hence, crappy to point out.

I have a bad feeling about the B_E lynch, but it's obviously inevitable at this point. The just of my scumread is based off of gut on B_E, not on individual posts. The inherent laziness coming from him feels like scum being at a loss for posting real opinions, and results in the obnoxious but not saying anything posts. The hammer on Cho was awkward, and on my first read through I thought it felt town, as I didn't believe scum would do that, but after a bit into Day 2 it felt like he got stuck on the whole "I'm sorry for hammering derp" bit for a good portion of his posts today, it sounds like scum struggling to find something to post and defaulting to his dumbassery. Past that it's mostly I just think he's scummy, but at the same time this feeling might just be him being useless and I want him gone.

After reading ISO and with his most recent posts, I have a hard town read on Tool. His summary post feels very town, especially the vote.
I just don't totally see your case, SK. Tool did have a good portion of his interactions with Jargo, but I don't see scum doing that much focus on his buddy.

SK, why are you leaning town on Riptide?
And wouldn't it make sense for scum to be vocal against a town lynch to garner 'townie points'? (I don't mean to make a case against myself :P)

I think that scum lies within: {Riptide, TBP, SK, TSO} in order of scummy to least scummy.

I don't totally agree with SK's thoughts but I think they are coming from town, today anyways.

Riptide I just kinda there I find today. He's making excuses of "Oh I want to go talk to my head first" and "We're split on reads". It's like a hydra's version of being waffly on stuff.

My scumread on TBP is coming from the same thought. Also the support for the mass claim felt forced and there was nothing past the reason of confirming the scum killer. Also, their scum read on Tool feels like it was just a sheep of SK's attack. Why the early scumread on tool, TBP?

SK is quite stubborn and focusing very heavily on Tool, but this doesn't seem to be any different from his earlier play. He is more of just a residual scumread from before at this point.

TSO, I'm just not sure about. I don't see him going so hard on D1 at town as scum, but I don't really have a town read on him either. He's really on my list because I've being fence sitting on his read for a bit now.

I know you're Townreading tool now, but this implies something was changing your mind. What was it?
I hadn't read the thread much at this point, but I noticed lots of people jumping on a Tool train. This was more of a "I'm reserving judgement on him" statement.
In post 673, BipolarChemist wrote:I don't totally agree with SK's thoughts but I think they are coming from town, today anyways.
You do? I'm not that sure. His attack on tool is pretty bad but it's not misguided-town-tunnel bad. It's just pretty damn bad.
I've been tackling with this for a while, as he did about the same thing on B_E yesterday. I'm reserving the right to waffle here! Would scum do the exact same thing the next day? Would town?
In post 673, BipolarChemist wrote:Riptide I just kinda there I find today. He's making excuses of "Oh I want to go talk to my head first" and "We're split on reads". It's like a hydra's version of being waffly on stuff.
If Riptide was scum, who would his partner be? Do you think Riptide has nothing to say or is deliberately trying to lurk?
Oddly enough, Tool. Before today, there are very little interactions with alive players, except Tool and when he does interact with him it's stuff like this:

Spoiler:
In post 417, Riptide wrote:
In post 134, toolenduso wrote:OK I'm ready to vote Cho. This looks much more like the townTSO I'm familiar with than the scumTSO. Also, people's defenses of Cho against TSO's case haven't convinced me as much as what I've seen from her slot (or from most of TSO's case). Also:
In post 120, T S O wrote:It's natural that your suspicion of Cho is fading; she's lurking out the pressure like a true scumfuck.
This is a very good point. This is something that I have deliberately done as scum before, and it worked like a charm.

VOTE: Cho

@Dunham: would you mind giving a serious response to my question, or was #89 as serious a response as I'm going to get?
@BE - The fact you called out my vote on Cho and not this one really bugs me.

There are basically no interactions with Jargonaut (possible distancing?). A TBP bus attempt could easily be happening right now too.
In post 673, BipolarChemist wrote:My scumread on TBP is coming from the same thought. Also the support for the mass claim felt forced and there was nothing past the reason of confirming the scum killer. Also, their scum read on Tool feels like it was just a sheep of SK's attack. Why the early scumread on tool, TBP?
I'm not sure that scum would be sheeping SK's attack, though. It's not strong, it doesn't really have basis, and the way TBP did it was so lacklustre that it feels like scum-TBP would at least try a bit harder with it.
I find the following of a weak argument to possibly be scummy. It's easy to hide behind and be able to point the finger at the person that made the weak argument.
In post 673, BipolarChemist wrote:SK is quite stubborn and focusing very heavily on Tool, but this doesn't seem to be any different from his earlier play. He is more of just a residual scumread from before at this point.
What about his play from before makes you think he's scum?
Again, not sure on his tunnelling and the before part is from my read on Dunham, it is my weakest scum read though. It was post where I gave the scumread on Dunham.

This makes me a bit sad, to be honest.

Done well, yes, I can definitely see it work. Overdo it and it'll get called out.

I'm very waffly on you now. That B_E flip can't have felt good, but you went and made another case right out of the gate, which I see as more likely town.

TBP hasn't posted enough for my opinion to really change on them. I agree with #706, but that's not really news. I do want to hear their retort. For now they keep the second spot though.

Riptide is more interesting, ever since he came back in, I find their posts helpful to a degree, but the whole hydra partner squabble thing has thrown me off a bit. The whole wall wars thing was kind of dumb, but not necessarily scummy. If I were reading based purely off of the last page and a bit, I'd say null read, but given that, I still think the overall play is scummy.

I don't know how we can be paranoid in opposite ways, but eh.

What changed your mind on T B P?

BC, come on!
PSH, smd, I got drunk reading posts again tho. Sorry about that.

I'm gonna go ahead and say wtf TPB get ur butts in hurrrr. ALSO, Egg may or may not be a cutie but its definitely that he's a cutie.

So ya sober me says TPB is scum still, but sober me is kind of flaky and a bit of a douche, so I'm gonna go ahead and say that TSO is a scummy poo head. Super LAMIST saying for me to "come on", I'm sure there are more important topics!

Now, sober me is thinking TPB could be scum, but I'll be goshed if I'm just not sure! I reserve the right to be waffly, you bastards!

We understand being out of sync, as we have been in that state before, so we want to try to read your slot fairly and not just be a tunnel hard like I usually do. How about you answer some of these questions.

Who do you feel is the most iffy read to you at this time? Why is that?
If you had a vig shot, who would you shoot right now?
Why do you feel you are so out of sync this game?
Do you feel confident in the reads you made? (whenever you make them)

I will probably have more post reads, but these are good for now.
Nope nope, this post rubs me all kind of wrong. It's a heck of a lot of explaining away things from you, riptide! Throw in some half assed questions and a little humanizing bit at the end, you got yourself a scum stew goin!

VOTE: Riptide

I feel so much more comfortable voting these guys than, TBP.

With Riptide's most recent posts, it feels just so much like scum who pushed for a town lynch and is now backing off a bit to relieve himself from the responsibility of a townie's death. I don't like it and this scumread is a lot stronger than my one of TPB, but I still need to read into their most recent posts a bit more. :/

Hmm oh boy! Ffery, you and dem walls! I'm inclined to believe you're town and SK was just a stubborn SOB! :P

So I believe Egg, Tool, ffery are town. Leaving TSO, Rip, and TBP. Of those 3, I'm most fine with either TBP or Rip today, as TSO isn't really a scum read, more just null.

So in short, I'm fine with where my vote is!

Yep, I got distracted, sorry!

Rip: Your scumtheatre moments when you and your partner fought just feels so forced and it annoys me. I think it's scummy as all hell. Nothing this game really makes me think you're town thus far. There is more that I've stated before and you can feel free to ISO, I'm too lazy to write out now.

Alright, here goes nothing! With an hour left, I'm drunk, and this lynch seems fine to me!

VOTE: TBP

Fuckin, Riptide, your 'my flip with give more info' bit annoys me to no end. And the "lynch me" bit, god why? Nooo. I so would rather have your lynch. But an hour left, screw it.
