With his mouth but a thin line Giovanni took a ball from his belt and flicked it, pressing the release button. A cloud of red data materialised into the form of a Rhydon, “Take Down, but stop after the door is down. Hostages work best alive.”

It was dark outside, the Saffron skyline blinking in the night sky. Inside, there was a different type of blinking. Zekrom25 stood not two paces in front of the warp pad, where he would be ‘collected’. The jeers of the group were hypocritical to anyone that had seen Jessie and James in action. Rockets were never known to be too bright.
It was little save him though. Espe moved in on the target of everyone’s hate. He had his orders, and that meant Zekrom25 had to go.

“Go Pikachu!”
Zekrom25 released a Pokeball from his belt to reveal the yellow rodent, “Shock them all, lets get out, I never should have joined.”
Not to be outdone by one of the recruits, Espe’s namesake, sprung from atop the filing cabinet she’d been sitting on all day unbeknownst to everyone. Within the second, the Espeon had the Pikachu fainted with a burst of mental energy.

The mob of Rockets closed in forcing Zekrom back on to warp pad.

It’s a little known fact that if a Pokemon senses danger from inside it’s Pokeball, it will react in whatever way it can. Psychic pokemon have the natural perk of being able to telekinetically open their own balls, other types have to resort to more primitive methods. Most notable is that of fire Pokemon, who, upon sensing danger, will flare to their maximum temperature, causing their ball to burn at their trainers waist. It is a phenomenon that is both rare and frightening when it happens.

And so was the feeling experienced by one of the trainers upon exiting from a late night excursion to the washroom. The burning ball caused the trainer to knock the ball off his belt, activating a flash of red data and causing his beloved fire Pokemon to burst out.

Looking for the cause of the fear his Pokemon was feeling, he searched around, backing into the washroom, hoping to draw the attacker into a battle. This would have been a smart idea, were Pokemon not able to hide, and in a single movement a Pokemon hiding above knocked down the trainer and squared off against the now instructionless Pokemon.

The battle was short, and the bodies of both Trainer and Rapidash were left to be found in the morning.

Things were getting serious in the office. Two candidates for spies had been singled out, their Pokeballs removed to avoid another situation like yesterday. Without their trusted Pokemon, the mood was lazy, at the clock edged towards their 8pm deadline, some desperate moves were taken, someone had to bite the bullet and the room was on knife edge.

In the dying minutes a consensus was reached, Empking was the choice. Standard procedure set in motion, Empking was ushered to the warp pad.
“I’m innocent, they should know,” he started, “I don’t want to resort to this but I will fight you.”
“You don’t have your Pokem-”

A flash of red light appeared out of the group, no one watching to see it’s source. A Blastoise materialised in front of Empking,

Everyone looked to Espe’s belt, which still held the confiscated balls.

“I need the bathroom,” Empking exclaimed out of the silence. The escorts got to their feet and took him around to the toilet block.

Inside, in the privacy of the bathroom, Empking removed a Pokeball from the inside of his coat, empty, but impossible to tell at a glance, He quickly switched it with the one on his belt, which he promptly stuck in the cistern.

As he returned back to the central office, another suspect asked for a toilet break.

“Blastoise, Hydro Pump”

In one motion, Espe flicked at a ball on his belt, red light materialising into a green sauropod, “Meganium, Light Screen.”

The stream of water from Blastoise’s cannons barely penetrated the yellow screen, orders went out, Meganium sprinted towards Blastoise, who patiently waited for a chance to strike. Meganium’s belly glowed in preparation for a Body Slam, just before impact, Blastoise retreated into it’s shell, spurting water out the tail hole to slide underneath and out from the attack, whirling around to Ice Beam the dinosaur in the back.

Severely hurt, Meganium whirled around, instantly draining Blastoise’s life force with it’s glowing neck leaves.

The battlers were evenly matched, but while Rockets may be slow and dumb, they get there eventually, and the escorts had all released their Pokemon, the various Rocket mainstays surrounded the hulking tortoise, subduing the creature with ease.

“I need that case file asap.”

Hey guys, stuff has been hectic the past week. My gf's 21st, and I slipped down a tile staircase at work so I've been in quite a bit of pain. However I am back now and will update today.

We did lose a day, so I can extend the deadline by 24 hours, if only to cover my subpar modding this Day phase.

So deadline is now set at: 16th, March, 10:00pm
