Excellent. Another game I want to shoot myself in.

I suggest if you don't want my vote on your wagon, you stop voting for yourself. If you're voting for yourself, you're secretly hiding the fact that you're not being on the vanguard of voting and eliminating scum, which means we can't really get a good picture of where you stand and I honestly don't give a shit about whether or not it happens in every game since if you do it every game you're potentially hurting the town in every game just to improve your odds of winning as scum and if you really wanted to do that you should probably analyze how you win as town and recreate that as scum, not the other way around.

First of all, that was a generic statement. To everyone. I didn't single you out. The fact is that two people are self voting at the moment and I think that is ridiculous.
The Central Scrutinizer wrote: Oh, so I brought it on myself, huh? I should stop wearing short skirts and high heels.
No, dude, I haven't voted you yet. If I vote you, it will be your fault. 80% of the time, I don't vote without a reason, scum or town.
Huh? It's page three, brother. Lighten up.
Doesn't make anything I've said less true.
What do you think I'm doing? I win as town by playing like this. Let's not make this a personal issue... I don't criticize your play style. There are reasons why I self vote and make jokes and occasionally stir up trouble in games. It makes scum easier to track.
K, I'll give you that one. I was in a bad mood when I posted that. Sometimes I'm kinda tired of people wanting to win as scum and deciding they should play that way all the time.
Don't assume that just because I don't play like you I play poorly.
Now you're just distorting it. I never said anything about playing poorly. Unhelpful, maybe.

Doesn't seem very town oriented to me.
it seems like there's many things that could be discussed, yet you pick this one thing and go after it like pitbull. Then you fos, to make it look not so serious. I am quite suspicious of certian FOSs. Scum can be like, "look, I was suspicious of this person back on d1."

Although the major thing is that you failed to unvote your random vote to FOS someone. Why would you find your random vote more useful than a vote on someone who doesn't seem very town oriented.

Oh! I get it! Are you guys scumbuddies?

Flay, I have decided that DoS is scum, and someone was his possible scum partner, but atm I am too lazy to fish that out. Do you have any thoughts on that?

Although DoS does get points for having a fightclub quote in his sig.

Rem: The answer to your question is here, not in C_D's post.
chaotic_diablo wrote:Give me a choice between an orange, banana, and apple. I'll choose the banana, and I'm suspicious for not choosing the apple or orange?
Not quite, but if you decide that the banana is the end all topic that you are going to discuss, it will raise red flags in my eyes. It's kind of like strawmanning. I saw DoS go after one thing to make him look like he was participating and to justify a vote in the future (or to distance with his scum partner by not voting him). My point is more on the fact that out of this selection (which seems contrived, like he picked a banana not because he liked them, but because he liked the person offering it to him).
chaotic_diablo wrote:I find that argument contrived since STD is attacking DoS for picking one "thing" out of a reservoir of many other "things".
A better argument would be that DoS prioritized an insignificant issue over a more important one. That would make a far better argument since it implies actual scumminess.
My arguement was multifaceted, thank you very much. You've completely ignored possible distancing, the disbelief I had, strawmanning, and the failure to unvote a random vote to FOS someone, which in my opinion, is the most damning.

DoS and JiveMachine are scum together. Please kill them.
Still here, still happy with my vote...
I asked you why. Your non-response troubles me.

I totally am so happy that I got C_D to do my dirty work. I really didn't feel like quoting all the reasons I wanted to vote Jive Machine (which I must admit was a number less than the ones C_D gave).

Vote: Jive Machine

See, that's how you fucking wow me. Not this "i like my voted. I didn't give a reason for it. I like my body."

Livingod is scum too?

Zindie! WHY ARE THERE SEVEN SCUM IN THIS GAME?!?
The crux of my case against you (not all of it):
1. I FoSed lots of people early on, referring to Pooky's style.
2. I joked for one page (along with others).
3. You selfvoted early on.
4. You lurked for one page.

You state that your three suspects are TCS CES and Kalei, yet your vote is still on TJM.
1. C_D accused you of this, right? Ok.
2. C_D accused you of this, right? Ok.
3. Yeah, I'll give you this, but metagamingly it's not a great tell. If you wanna kill him for metagaming, then it makes sense, but if you want to kill him for being scum, you're barking up the wrong tree.
4. ????????????????????????????????????? ARE YOU FRICKEN KIDDING ME. When I have bad days and don't come onto scum, I miss pages. When I can't add anything to the discussion, I miss pages. Lurking is a fact of life. I'll admit, scum lurk. So do town. In general, scum lurk while participating. Town lurk by not posting, although don't take that as fact. My point is...one page? Are you so sure that that's a scum tell?

Or are you hounding C_D with crap logic? With a metagame attack and a call to lurkings?

And if C_D is actually scum, I'm going to eat my liver.

I don't quite understand the arguement that starting another bandwagon is bad. Sure, derailment is bad, but finding a new suspicion is probably better.

That said, I'm not so sure the call for two claims is that scummy, since at least one of the two is most likely scum. Although I really don't think we should be claiming to decide which one is better, I think we should pick one and have them claim to see if we should pursue.

I think they both lie. It is pretty obvious that TJM is scum.

DoS is possibly telling the truth, however...or at least he knows his shit. He did claim an obscure role.

Fake claims are not a requirement of modding. People need to be able to think up claims on thier own to suit the role they decide to play. Not that fake claims are a bad thing, but they aren't a necessity either.

FoS: Skruffs some more...
it seems you are construing false connections. I'd believe CES is attacking TJM rather than defending DoS.

If TJM is really scum, then it's quite probable that there are no fake claims in this game, and DoS is probably on the level. Something still bothers me about his claim, and he's not escaping the excruciating light of suspicion that has been cast upon him in my eyes at least.

Also, I would say TJM is definately scum and it seems you are trying to protect him. My eye is watching you.

So the arguements against TSQ is as follows:

DoS: TSQ didn't believe Skruff's claim, and TSQ pushed for a quicklynch in post 498.

To which I reply: Please tell me what WAS believable about Skruff's claim.

I'm tempted to have your claim be verified.

Although I kinda doubt you are scum, TSQ, I really don't think Mr. Stoofer is scum for the reasons you're claiming him to be.

The whole concept of a DWA is flawed imo. I'd think if you throw anyone a bone, they're going to bite. I don't see how scum are more likely to pick the argument to answer than town are. If Stoofer homed in on it and was like, "THIS IS BAD AND MAKES YOU SCUM!!!!" then yeah, I'd say that he's picking it out of a collection of strong arguements. I also think if a DWA is going to work at all as a tell, it needs to be nestled in like 6-7 good arguements, so the reader will pick and choose which ones to go after. But I personally think it's craplogic to put out and arguement, have it answered, and be like, "HE ANSWERED IT!"

I honestly don't think either of you are scum, so I'm not paying too much attention to your debate. Sorry about that. I'm more inclined to beleive you (TSQ) are scum, however. And i'm a lot more inclined to believe remus is scum.

I didn't believe Skruffs's claim because it was just too sketchy. He constantly tried to verify that his claim was realistic by posting Frozenstein on Wikipedia. In hindsight, this sounds like the actions of a goofy Skruffs, but I felt it could represent the actions of a goofy scum skruffs trying to cover his tracks. Then he claimed something completely wierd, even in jest, it was strange to have him revoke his claim. There were too many inconsistancies.

I didn't even vote skruffs until after he made his second claim, so that whole pressure thing...yeah, not so much.

yeah, that last post wasn't very informative. I didn't mean to hit submit so quickly.

I'll probably try to paraphrase what I stated and maybe be more clear.

Some of the things I'm accusing him of:

Dirtying TSQ's hands with the whole "STD's on the fence and is scum" thing
Breadcrumbing Andariel
Avoiding TJM until the last minute, trying to spread supicion onto DoS when TSQ did.

I can try to recover some quotes, but I don't feel like doing so right now :P

Or we could take out remus, find out he's the scum, win the game, and realize both of you were pointing fingers at eachother for no reason.

Or we could get more player participation.

Or I could rewrite what I've written.

Or I could finish my chem homework.

Or I could take my unfinished chem homework to chem class.

Or I could explode.

Take your pick.

I haven't gotten that far and I'm willing to believe that Ninlathak is a character that could be concieved in the mind of either Zindaras or Remussaidow, making the issue whether you believe the role is plausible.

Corpse explosion is like what happened with the corpulents (although technically it would happen whenever the necromancer wanted it to, but that's probably a non-issue in game terms). When I first read it, I thought he exploded due to his violent overdose of pain. I can't tell if it's a game mechanic or just flavor, or both.

:P yeah, I totally didn't think that TSQ was scum.

*oblivious*

But this game was a lot of fun, even if I kinda flaked the last day. :) thanx, Zindie.

Sorry remus.
