I'm as serious as VP is about his Sotty wagon.

What do you think of Sotty's reaction to this early wagon, VP?

Deer: I think it'd be a good scum tactic in a number of ways, but I can see why town-VP would have reasons for doing it too. How he takes his line of investigation from here will help me determine what his motivations were. Do you think VP is pro-town for setting up a Sotty wagon before the game had started?

Jason: do you find anyone who hopped on the not-so-jokey Sotty wagon scummy?

Hey VP, it's unlike you not to be on my case all the time, particularly if I haven't posted for a few days. What gives?

Can anybody explain to me why Jebus isn't being intensely anti-town? Camn, you seem to be particularly aware and not all that bothered about this self-imposed post restriction.

Fate's reaction to Ani's claim basically looks like he was waiting for a reason to unvote, which makes me doubt the sincerity of his vote in the first place. All the 'you can't meta me' and 'I'm special' chat is frankly just irritating.

Deer: what about Fate and 'the whole deal with Ani' is particularly scummy to you?

Raider's most recent post is about as horrible as late wagon endorsements get, particularly given the dearth of opinions on other players. I'll agree with camn and give him a chance to provide some of those to see whether he is actually interested in finding any scum.

Raider: you think Fate is lying about his claim but you don't think he should be the lynch? I assume you thinking he's lying also means you think he's scum.

VP: no, I didn't declare V/LA, unless you count me saying I've had a busy weekend. I don't see why it's an odd thing to say. I remember you being pretty quick to pick up on a lack of posting/content in both Royal Rumble Mafia and Mafia of Order, so for you to not even mention me when I'd only made a few posts in the game, and none for three days, seems pretty strange. If you thought I was on V/LA then I guess that explains it, although I have no idea where you got that from.

Deer: perhaps you'll respond to this question instead; how did you go from 'somewhat scummy' to 'probably town' on Fate?

Well, this should make things interesting.

Vote: Deer

Deer: why do you think it's a good play as town? What benefits do you see from him claiming relative to him keeping quiet? Is there anyone else you wouldn't like to hammer Fate?

Right now I'm in favour of a Deer or Raider hammer.

Because I wanted to put more pressure on Deer to emphasise that he should hammer or be lynched. It's all very well saying that we'll all lynch Deer if he doesn't, but votes drive the point home a lot better and make the threat of lynch more realistic. You have made me realise that I need to:

Great. The last game I played with lynch-immunity did not go well.

Deer: you haven't explained why you thought claiming bomb was a good play for pro-town Fate, nor have you commented on his admission that he's not a day-bomb, nor have you done anything except say 'you can't lynch me anyway'. Perhaps you'll enlighten us as to how this is pro-town play. Also, I'd like to know if you would have died if Fate was a bomb and you had hammered him. I'm guessing yes.

I'm highly dubious of VP's logic if his plan to avoid being killed was to set up a wagon pre-game on a player he knew was scum and declare he had evidence.

Perhaps you can tell me why I shouldn't vote for Jebus, Sotty.

As for the investigators wasting an action, I didn't assume that the player who had the role of the snitch had to know any members of the scumteam from the start of the game. The snitch could have had additional abilities to learn that information which could then have been relayed to the investigator on the same night were they to target the snitch. I also thought it was possible that the snitch did not learn the information until targeted by an investigator.

Fate: you can also tell me what you think of that VP quote I asked camn about.

Jebus has only posted pictures in this game. There hasn't been a good reason provided for it, not even in picture form, and I can't think of a good reason for it. It's intensely anti-town and there's no way of getting a read on him if he keeps doing it.

camn: it seems to me that if both Jebus and Jason were scum, either Jebus was legitimately restricted and Jason cooked up that story to make Jebus come off more town because he knew he wouldn't be able to post, or they planned for Jebus to fake his restriction and for Jason to use the silencer story to legitimise it. I don't see Jebus-scum deciding to only post pictures and Jason-scum making up the silencer story completely on the fly. The problem I see with the theory is that Jason actually specifically quoted an article that states the same person can't be silenced two days running, so as soon as everyone realised that nobody else had been silenced the day after, it stops being an excuse. The only possible benefit I see there for Jason-scum if Jebus is town is that it's a somewhat elaborate role-fish; if Jebus comes out and denies the existence of the silencer he would probably then be pressed to explain more about his role, which could be useful for scum.

It's plausible, sure. I'd like to think it's not true, as that kind of premeditated lurking seems especially against the spirit of the game. That said, neither Jebus nor Deer's play is in the spirit of the game, so it's no reason to rule it out.

In addition to my Investigate ability, I can choose to act as a Bodyguard for the target I investigate, redirecting any kill attempts against them to me. Although the Snitch is dead, I can still keep investigating and bodyguarding. I can still only do this once per target. As for flavour, basically I went with Daniels when he formed his case squad, I'm the lead detective and a good cop.
