"Inevitable. There is no denying the lightness we have lost. I hold it to my heart, with all man and kin. Facing opposite ends, the scrolls tell us the one truth that binds the echelons. Mind the gap. Initiate sequence. Charging FTL. Accessing data-fonts. Error. Retry. Error. Again. Error. Subjugation, the current means of transition. Fixed unto ordinance. And following, the party will be met at an hour until the morrow until the hour. And again. Singular, the outcome we behold. No! Systems failing. All must be amended. Shortfalls soothed as sequence continues. Time speaks with fervour. We are hand in hand, facing at opposite ends. Daggers borne below. All this has happened before, and it will happen again... again... again... again... again... again... again... JUMP!"
Twleve of you have regained consciousness in a critically damaged Basestar, none entirely sure of what bought you all here. After some inspection, you notice that auxiliary systems have kicked in as the ship's Hybrid is apparently offline. It will likely be days before help can arrive, but you all wonder if you will even stay alive that long.

ChannelDelibird hasn't responded to his prod and will be replaced.
I encourage everyone involved in this game to help find replacements so long as they don't reveal anything related to the game's content in doing so. Asking players to PM me if they're interested would be highly appreciated.
You lead MacavityLock down the corridors of the Basestar. He is nervous. He is worried. He knows he is going to die.
You eventually arrive at a medium sized hangar where a number of Cylon Raiders sit idly in front of their respective launch tubes of which Macavity is forced to stand in one. He begins to plead, but his words are ignored and the door to the tube is shut. You hear an alarm sounding, signifying that the air is being vented into space. Through the doors, you hear MacavityLock's pleas intensify and he soon bursts into hysteria. The sound of his screams become more and more distant as he is pulled further down the tube and eventually into the vacuum of space.
Returning to the room you awoke in earlier, you are started when the the Basestar and Hybrid suddenly spark to life! The Hybrid speaks.
"By one who seeks to harm. By the scrolls and tribes and plans. We are lighter by one! Hold the base! In distance we take refuge. Yes, time is my ally and the one for whom time has turned its back shall never taste its grace. Simon, one who seeks to harm. Simon, of kin. Simon, is dead."
With that, the Hybrid once again slides into unconsciousness, the Basestar dies and the auxiliary systems activate.

There is no sun to greet you as you wake. Only the dull glow that leeks from the lights that line walls of this dark and foreboding Basestar. The floor did not provide a pleasant resting place and you all awake with the pains of a poor night's sleep.
You look to the Hybrid, expecting her to speak. She remains still and is apparently offline again.
One, two, three ...
You all look about, counting heads as you go.
... four, five, six ...
"How many did the night take?" you wonder.
... seven, eight, nine ...
"
Ten!
Only
ten!
" you think in shock... before realising that you hadn't counted yourself.
It was fast becoming inevitable and Rishi knew it. He could feel it weighing in on him, more and more every second. In his mind, everyone in the room was a door, a way out, and one by one, they were closing on him.
He was determined not to go like MacavityLock before him. Anything must be better than the slow suffocation of space. So when he saw the last door close, he leapt out, reaching for a firearm that had been laying on the floor. Before anyone could do anything, he placed the barrel in his mouth and fired sending blood, pieces of his brain and splinters of his skull spraying against the walls.
While the sound of the gunshot still rang in everyone's ears, the Basestar and Hybrid once again came alive.
"The hand of kin takes its own. Tragic. Mapping correlation. System check. Critical. FTL offline. From the lines of life, she leaves us. Willed unto herself. Harming all and own. Charging. Error. Systems critical. The will of the scrolls, foretelling. Sharon Valerii is dead."
As the Hybrid sinks back into her chamber and the Basestar's lights fade out, those remaining alive settle down on the cold floors for the night.

Everyone woke again. Yes, this time you counted yourself too and found that everyone that had been alive last night was still alive now.
The body of Sharon Valerii still lay on the the floor. You all agreed that the disturbing sight should be removed from the room and carry her corpse into another chamber. While her body was gone, the pool of blood that had spilt from her head still stained the floor. It had turned a viscous deep red, almost fading away into the dark floors of the Basestar and for once you are glad the halls aren't lit up with bright lights and find comfort in the darkness in which you've lived for the last two days.
But this small delight quickly fades and you see the bloodstain again, plainly and clearly. It stays in your mind, a wicked omen reminding you that this ordeal is not over yet.
Farkshinsoup's death had been frighteningly simple. There had been no apparent diplomacy, no debate. Grimmy had simply walked up to him and, without a word, put his hands around Farkshinsoup's throat. He pressed his thumbs down on on his windpipe and after a few seconds of the sounds of Fark gurgling for air while his throat was crushed, Grimmy let go and Farkshinsoup's limp body fell to the floor.
As had proceeded the other deaths so for, the Basestar and Hybrid once again came to life. The Hybrid spoke.
"Lightness gained! Behold the scrolls that number many. Not one. Two. Number Two. Initiate sequence. Error. Number Two is lost, the fate of a void bought out of place. Facing opposite ends, the scro – Error."
With that, the Hybrid and Basestar subside again and the weary passengers retire for the night.

Again, you all wake to find that you are all alive. The relative peace of the night almost makes you want to go back to sleep. But you know you can't. There is this mysterious matter of Cylon Basestar that needs to be solved and no matter how many "peaceful" nights pass, you know that you will not be able to sleep soundly, one way or another, until it is.
