Ruleset
General Rules
1) Follow Site Rules
2) No out of thread communication in any area except threads I give you explicitly for that purpose.
3) Don't be a megadick. Like, I expect you to be an adult. There's a line. Don't cross it. Don't try to find it. Thanks.
General Mafia Rules
1) All living players may post in thread when it is open (this is the day phase). This includes players who were just lynched. No other players may post for any reason.
2) A lynch occurs when the majority of the players vote for another player to be lynched. This kills the lynched player and ends the day.
3) All days will be followed by nights. Each night will last 48 hours, and any night actions occur then.
4) All living players with PTs may communicate in them at any time.
Night Rules
1) The Mafia kill is factional. Any mafia may perform the kill, they must designate who they kill. This is the only action that mafia member may take that night. Submit kills in PT.
2) Any conflict of night actions will be resolved by following Natural Action Resolution.
3) Night actions may be submitted at any time after the day starts and before night deadline. No late actions will be accepted.
4) VLA players are expected to submit their night actions before they go on VLA. Nights will not be extended for VLA. Players with factional abilities may submit any member of their faction to use those abilities, but the specific player has ultimate authority to their own actions if there is a disagreement.
Posting/VLA/Replacement
1) Post substantial content every 48 hours. Failing to do so will result in a prod.
2) After too many prods (assume 3) you'll be automatically replaced.
3) You have 24 hours after being prodded (48 on weekends) to pick up prod and post. Failure to do so means you'll be replaced
4) Replaced players may not post for any reason. I will PM you to tell you you're replaced. Feel free to yell at me there.
5) VLA shall be announced in thread (banners/signatures are not sufficient). If your VLA exceeds one week or at moderator discretion, you may be replaced instead.
6) Replacements will receive all mod communication and role PMs their slot received prior to me announcing their replacement. They will be allowed into any PTs (if applicable) at that time. Original players will lose access to those same PTs.
Voting and day end
1. Voting shall use an automated Vote Counter. Please post all votes inside vote tags or bold tags on their own line. I will make an attempt to accommodate nicknames and other names, but this is a courtesy and not necessarily going to occur. It is your responsibility to make your votes readable to the counter, not visa versa.
2. Attempts to manipulate the above (such as fake voting, fake hammering, etc.) may result in the moderator manually counting the vote and finishing the lynch. It
will
also result in a warning or a force replace. Please don't manipulate the vote friends.
3. The votes become locked when there are more votes on a player than half the living players (ex 5 if 8 are alive, 3 if 5 are alive), or at least half the players vote to no lynch (ex 4 if 8 are alive, 3 if 5 are alive). At this time you may talk freely until I lock the thread, but no votes can be changed.
Modkill
1) Any attempt to use mod communication (including role PM structure, time stamp, etc.) to determine alignment will result in immediate modkill. No warnings. Don't do it. Don't try it. I will happily answer all questions about what you can say in PM.
2) Any issue that can be resolved without modkill will. Modkill is a last resort to preserve game integrity.
3) Modkill will never be beneficial to your faction. Don't game the system.
4) Do not beg for modkills, replacements, etc. I am not a player in the game and will answer only questions about the actual mechanics of a game. Anything else can be addressed in PM.

Official Vote Count
MathBlade
(3): karnos, MechaGoomba, Masquerade
JohnnyFarrar
(3): Persivul, Wingback, MagnaofIllusion
Kappy
(2): Saru, Dierfire
Wingback
(1): The Bulge
karnos
(1): MathBlade
Not Voting
(3): qubixes, Kappy, JohnnyFarrar
With 13 alive, it takes 7 to lynch.
Deadline
: (expired on 2016-06-24 16:02:39)
The Bulge is being replaced. In light of the high number of replacements, I'm arbitrarily extending the deadline two days. I hope no players or factions feel hurt by this, I feel it's simply fair to give everyone time to catch up and discuss. I really didn't plan to have seven replacements on day 1.

Still looking for a replacement. I'm going to throw up a VC when I get a chance, but consider this extended for another 48 hours. I won't extend it a third time, there has to simply be the general structure of a mafia game here, instead of an indefinite thread of death. If you would rather have an indefinite extension, please PM me. I don't want a discussion in thread, because people may try to read alignment information from it, so I am not paying any attention to whatever people say in thread regarding extensions (or really any other topic regarding moderation)
Night action submission deadline: (expired on 2016-06-26 14:00:00). At that time all night actions will be locked and resolved based on last targets received (see rules in post #1 for details if you wish more)
If you have not yet posted after the downtime please confirm by PM that you are on site. Night deadline will be extended until I have confirmation that all players have returned after the outage.
I'd like to extend my official apology to SickofIt. He never actually flaked or requested replacement. Instead the (now banned) ShadyHood thought it would be a good idea to PM him to try and collaborate with him outside of thread. This triggered the force replacement of both slots when he reported it to me. Essentially, he was punished for doing the right thing. I still feel pretty bad over it.
Every other replacement was a legit flake and ShadyHood can burn in the hell of the permabanned for all I care for that jerkass but sickofit did not replace of his own free will.

Like I was wondering if it was a ploy to avoid the night kill and you were just randoming your reads. I think Mathblade would have been lynched today, if the day had occurred, but it wasn't.
I'm surprised Saru thought that there would be a second investigative role since his was superbly powerful. Much less recruiting Karnos

Mason recruiters always die if they target scum.
As the review committee said its effectively a weak neighborizor. I think it's slightly clearer (and doesn't out the entire masonry if the recruiter targets scum) but it's a fine +1 role.

Thanks for replacing in!
I thought you played really well. Your styles clashed extremely, but it managed to work out as kind of town-on-town, and you basically managed to distance very well while still pivoting onto town lynches seamlessly. I could feel you grinding your teeth a little over the traitor spec, but I'm only ever going to quote the normal games wiki modding a normal game, no matter what role I'm asked about. The answer "I'm not getting 4 scum in a mini normal past the review committee in this lifetime" probably would represent moderator bias
You did guess that the strongest scum power role by far was daytalk and that your role was more of an emergency outlet. I thought it was a bit sad that you got it since I intended that the Enabler would be bussed if things went really wrong (there's some ugly scenarios where you can't safely shoot the claimed masons at all because lol jailkeeper which would be horrible if there was 3 masons alive) but you basically leveraged it into an informed goon and just won through better dayplay.

Also people love their information roles. Based on the two normal games I've run I probably have a mod meta of giving the strongest information roles to scum (Mafia Watcher and Mafia Neapolitan). So now you have mod meta for the next normal I run. Or... not. The last time they lynched the Watcher, correctly guessing it didn't fit in with the game. I kind of expected the Neapolitan to suffer the same fate (I thought it might be claimed as Vanilla Cop, which is far weaker) but the masons trusted it so much they figured he was confirmed town, so hey.
I should do a full writeup of how people played, but you were still the strong backbone of the scum team. The masons were nearly willing to gamble on recruiting you.

Rarely. Open setups are essentially a town power role in the same way that daytalk is a scum power role. You can never claim Neapolitan in an open version of this setup for instance, and things like "Motion Detector" are confirmed town. So when you turn a closed setup into an open setup you are typically making it town sided.
