Appreciated, in my case.sekinj wrote:@zaz - how can you not believe hewitt is scum and still want me to hammer? your position makes no sense. and I meant AT THIS TIME hewitt is the lynch for the day. that can obviously change, BECAUSE I'M GIVING IT THE CHANCE TO CHANGE!!! I'm USING those extra days we have.
I am dubious about this lynch. I am unsure Hewitt would be taking some of the stances he is doing if he is scum, and his flailing feels more like indignant townie than losing the game scum.-

I'm sure lynching you and having a day that lasts shorter than 24 hrs will be very condusive to discussion. I realise you've got it in your mind that you want to take a stand and you are sacrificing yourself, etc, but it's honestly not a good play under these circumstances or ever.sekinj wrote:I know this will put the town at LYLO, but if I thought there was a better way, I woudl unvote. the best I can do is state my suspicion and keep my vote on me.
As for you, KMD, with that amount of posts, I am stunned you don't know better.-

Sens wasn't online (he is now) and I knew that you and Emp wouldn't hammer. I wanted to see if she was willing to accept the lynch. Also, if she claimed a power role, I knew she was lying.Primate wrote: As for you, KMD, with that amount of posts, I am stunned you don't know better.-

That's why I didn't put forward opinions that were inadaquately thought about.SensFan wrote:
Did you ever reveal those predictions? You know...given you're supposed to help find Scum, if you're Town...Primate wrote:

Yeah, sorry, I misread the first post and missed the fact that one of the roles in the power role selection there was a townie.SensFan wrote:
Its semi-open. There could in theory not be another Power role.Primate wrote:Isn't not claiming a power role in an open setup where you would immediately be counterclaimed very basic scum play?
I don't really think Sekinj is, I don't really think KMD is, but I'd like to do some playstyle analysis simply because I'm suspicious that his post volume vs played time engenders a fritz style play of consistency across games, and that concerns me. I think you're likely to be town also, but, you, in particular, have the experience to be able to pull of the pro-town driver attitude you've been sticking with as scum, and quite possibly the balls to do so, which I think is more relevant. Emptyger was originally one of my pro-town reads, but I'm increasingly going against that primarily because he's the most dubious read that way, and every time I tried to read him from that perspective again, I don't really see it.So what's your reads now?-

My number one scum read is emp because he is the only one i don't think is town and by process of elimination he has to be scum. Figuring out town reads is much easier and more consistent that figuring out scum reads, for me at least. So your question and demand is restrictively and badly phrased, redo it please.Kmd4390 wrote:Ok, we need something to jump-start activity here. Let's try this.
I'm going to call these reads wishy washy and non-commital and ask you to rank the remaining players as far as liklieness of being scum. I'll also ask for reasons why your number one scum read is scum. Failure to do this will result in you getting my vote.Primate wrote:I don't really think Sekinj is, I don't really think KMD is, but I'd like to do some playstyle analysis simply because I'm suspicious that his post volume vs played time engenders a fritz style play of consistency across games, and that concerns me. He was afraid of being lynched in a lylo situation.Empking wrote:Primate: Do you understand why Sekinj self-voted?
People who are afraid of being lynched in Lylo generally don't vote for themselves in Lylo because, fairly obviously, it means they get lynched. So he wouldn't have voted for himself today, and the only day he was a liability was yesterday.-

if you are saying there that lynching him was poor play, I entirely agree.SensFan wrote:
Not only was he lynched, but he was on the wagon.Primate wrote:
Fair enough, long as you're owning up to the fact that if you mislynch someone, it's your fault and not theirs.SensFan wrote:
Partly, yes. I also didn't want someone that unstable alive in LyLo, if they are Town.Primate wrote:To clarify, were you voting him because you thought he was scum?
It was a classic example of very poor play, something this game has had way too much of, unfortunately.
(I know this is not what you are saying)
I appreciate he was playing badly, but that is no reason at all to lynch him except in extremely rare circumstances. I think it's also incredibly scummy, because it basically it's an ironclad argument for being blameless for a mislynch, if you can put the blame for running up someone on the lynchee, instead of recognising it as your own inability to read someone who was playing in a non-standard fashion.
This doesn't mean he didn't play badly, he undisputedly did, and in the post game, I'd take a serious look at that day in particular if I were him. And it doesn't mean that you necessarily played badly. If you had an argument in favour of him being scum that you believed in, fair enough, we all make mistakes once in a while, and they are what we learn from, but it *was* your fault, just as my misread of Zazie was my fault.-
