You have been invited to a dinner party on a remote island. The invitation was a little weird but who can pass up a free meal, right? On the night stand in your room you find a framed copy of an ominous rhyme:

Ten little Soldier boys went out to dine;
One choked his little self and then there were nine.
Nine little Soldier boys sat up very late;
One overslept himself and then there were eight.
Eight little Soldier boys traveling in Devon;
One said he'd stay there and then there were seven.
Seven little Soldier boys chopping up sticks;
.........

A dinner bell from downstairs interrupts your reading. You put down the frame and leave the room. Upon finding your seat at the dining room table, you can't help but notice that there is a little soldier figurine in front of you.

Once all the guests are seated, the dinner starts with a light appetizer. Minutes later, the guy at the end of the table starts coughing violently before collapsing on the floor. You recall the first rhyme with horror:

So much for free food! You must figure out who is behind this murder and fast! You don't want to be next... do you??

GAME RULES

(stolen from people here and there and revised by me):

1. Remember that this is a
   game
   . Have fun and treat the other players with respect. Excessive abuse, obscenity or verbal attacks will not be tolerated and will result in your replacement.
   
2. This game is also a
   commitment
   . Please treat it as such, be active and make regular posts to keep the game moving.
   
3. You may not quote private moderator-supplied information (either real or fabricated) of any kind. Paraphrasing (for role claims, etc.) is acceptable.
   
4. There is to be NO personal communication outside of the thread unless your role PM specifically allows it. Also, you may not talk to other people about this game outside of the thread. Players with roles allowing communication may only communicate outside the thread as directed in their role PM.
   
5. If you have a role with a Night action your choices are due to me by the posted deadline. If I do not receive your choice via PM by the posted deadline, you will forfeit your actions.
   
6. I will prod you if you fail to make one post within a 72-hour period. You must respond to the prod
   in-thread
   within 48 hours of the prod or be replaced. If you fail to post within a 72-hour period for the third time, you will be replaced.
   
7. Votes should be cast using the following format -
   vote: player.
   I will not count votes that are not
   bolded.
   If you choose to change your vote, please
   unvote
   first and then
   vote
   again. This is not neccesary, but I would appreciate it.
   
8. Lynching will require a majority of votes. You may
   vote: no lynch
   if you decide that you do not want to lynch during the day. Ending the day in a no-lynch will also require a majority of votes. Once the number of votes reaches the required number, that decision is final and subsequent vote changes will not be counted. Posting during twilight is allowed.
   
9. If you get killed or are lynched, you are DEAD. Please do
   not
   post anything afterwards, not even a "bah!" post. In addition, once you are dead, please do not discuss the game with anyone other than myself until the game is over.
   
10. Each day will automatically have a set
    deadline
    of 3(three) weeks. In special circumstances, I may extend or shorten the deadline at the request of the players or my own discretion.
    
11. If a majority is not reached at deadline, I will allow for one less vote than the required majority to decide who will be lynched. In case of a tie, the person who reached that number of votes first will be the day's lynch. In cases where simply not enough votes were accumulated on a certain player, a no lynch will occur.
    
12. During LYLO and other end-game situations, a majority of votes MUST be reached to lynch.
    
13. RED
    is reserved for me, your moderator. Please do not use that color. In fact, please try to not use any colors. Also, invisible/small text or encrypted codes are NOT allowed.
    
14. If you have any questions about the game, please feel free to PM me.
    
15. If you have an issue/problem with the game, please PM me privately. Do not post issues/complaints in the game thread.
    
16. Questions/requests for the Mod may be posted in-thread.
    Please bold all requests so that I don't miss them.
    
    
17. If you anticipate being unavailable for more than a 48-hour period, please post a notice to that effect in the thread. Remember to treat this game as a commitment. Be considerate - don't leave us hanging.
    
18. Play to win
    . If you do anything that I feel excessively goes against this, you will be punished (with a likely replacement or modkill and/or blacklist). Likewise, attempting to use loopholes in the rules to gain an advantage in the game is NOT allowed and will be appropriately punished.
    
19. Rules violations will be dealt with according to their severity, up to and including a modkill (which may be accompanied by immediately advancing the game to Night phase). Any player who is modkilled automatically loses the game.
    
20. I reserve the right to add to these rules and inform/warn the players affected as appropriate.
    
21. Once again, have fun!

You win when at least half of the living players are mafia, or when nothing can prevent the same.
