Hello everyone. I've played with Xtoxm before and have a pretty good idea of his style. The rest are strangers to me.

It's way too early for a lurker hunt and Rice's vote post bothers me for a couple of reasons.

I like rofl's double-barbed attack at Xtoxm: challenging him to back up the lurker-hunt strategy with meta shortly after X claimed a meta-heavy early game style. I don't know that this is a town-tell on rofl, but I like his argument style. If he is scum, he'll be dangerous.

But your action, in agreement with his post, was explicitly to "random vote some lurkers."

It seems to me that both your citing agreement with another player and the claim that your non-random vote was random were both meant to take the edge off of a scummy action. Nor do I like the tone of your defense that suggests my accusations should be abandonned so easily.

Talmadge, I am an concerned that you are generalizing and failing to consider timing. Pressuring lurkers is sometimes appropriate but not this early in the game, when the interactions stemming from attacks

and defenses

are crucial to the record.

And Rice, at least, dropped other tells with his lurker hunt post.

The positions and statements of D1 become important once alignments have been confirmed by deaths. We are creating a record for later investigations.

What I'm saying is: I don't find poje to be unreasonable, but like he said, better to lynch sooner than later.

In Mini 539, Xtoxm was town. He didn't pressure lurkers early, but he did help hang a lurker at the end of D1. That lurker was the doc and the game was recent. I'd like to think he would have learned his lesson.

A proper defense: I believe I've seen poj argue the speed-lynch D1 angle in MD, which would suggest it's a null tell.

AK, Bob, and OG have posted too little content to reliably read. Of them, AK seems mildly scummy and OG mildly townie. Alvin, Sens, and Xtox have each dropped a scumtell or two, but aren’t the worst of the bunch.

Evil posts a scummy L-2 without a case. He expresses concern about the poje wagon but doesn’t unvote. His defenses are lacking. Rice advocates a lurker hunt in theory but then, claiming it was only a ploy, tunnels on one of the most active players in the game. This reeks of a gambit.

He's most suspicious after Rice and Evil. Most telling is his lurker hunt that misses Bob entirely.

This is entirely pooh-pooh. I believe I went so far as to decry those talking theory, and I've posted a fair amount of evidence for this stage in the game.

They were not content-less. Her second accused Rice of entrapment, her third accused (and voted) poje for calling for a rush-lynch. Her fourth justified the argument against poje.
