A lynch has occured!

Names fly as the townpeople argue back and forth about who to lynch. "Lynch the clergyman, I never trusted religion anyways..." says one. "No, lynch the pet guy, he's been useless thus far!" yells another.
One of you step a bit away from the group and face it. "Why don't we lynch the butler?" you ask, wondering why he never occured more in conversation.
The town grow restless, and the loud roar of the agreeing mob swiftly stops all hope of conversation. Neto can squirm all he wants, your grip on him is too firm and before long he is standing on the edge of the town's steeping cliff with his back against the hole.

"This is a horrible mistake, I'm innocent!" he pleads, his eyes watering.
"Any last wish?" barks one of your fellow townperson.
"Well, if I could-"

The man is cut short as a sledgehammer makes contact with his skull with a disgusting cracking sound.

"What?" asks the seductress, her hands still wrapped firmly around the weapon's handle.

With a mix of interest and fear, you flip each of the butler's many pockets. In one of them you find a little bottle with pills.

"Wait... Is that cyanide?" asks a fellow townie.

You wake up with a very uneasy feeling. Last night, you dreamt of a family being broken... Must have been the effect of the stress from yesterday, with the mafia stuff and all.

You go to the scheduled meeting place, the town square.

1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9...

Nine?

"Hey, anybody seen Farside?" Asks one of your fellow townies.

You don't even take the time to think before you break into a sprint to Farside's house, hoping she simply over overslept or something. However when you get there the house is empty. You walk back to the town square, slowly coming up with theories of her location, when you hear the crash of pans from a house nearby.

"Shouldn't everyone be in the square right now???" You ask yourself as you approach the house and open the front door.

Right away you notice something is definitely wrong when you step into a puddle of very red liquid. You rush to the kitchen and come face to face with Farside.

"So you ARE alive!" You say, feeling slightly better.
"Can't say the same for Albert..."

You look behind Farside to see Albert, badly messed up. He's bleeding buckets of blood, inert on the floor.

"When I was walking to the square I came to pick him up. He was stabbed during the night. Additionally..."

Farside points to a frame on the wall. On it, you can clearly see Albert with two of the townfolks, although the photo is too blurry to make out their identity.

You and Farside pick up your things and make for the square, a bit more down than before.

You yawn a bit. You had a pretty strange nightmare during the night. Kiku and ABR were dancing in circles around a darkened figure. You try to piece together the face of the third person, bu it's not working. Nonetheless, it was pretty crazy.

As you head to the square you don't even take the time to count the heads. It's obvious after yesterday that Kiku is dead, killed by the mafia.

You pull a chair at a nearby cafe to recollect your thoughts from the previous day. You remember there was a huge arguement, followed by some thrown accusation left and right, until Shotty said something fishy and everyone jumped up his throat. And Kiku again with that sledgehammer.

One more dead mason... Let's hope today you'll even the score.

"Wow, wait a sec here!" pleaded Budja, alarmed by the situation.

It had all happened remarkably quickly. The death of DedicatedScribe had triggered some kind of hysteria in the remaining townfolk, so much that not even an hour had gone by that Budja was already condemned, the rope around his neck tight and the floor before him about to open.

"You can't lie to us forever, you scum!" yelled the enraged townpeople, oblivious to the man's plea. In a violent motion, the trap opened, sending Budja down only a few feet, but hard enough for his neck to snap in a sickening sound.

You approach his freshly lifeless body, hoping to find a piece of evidence tying him to the mafia. All you find is the photo of an old lady, probably his mother.

And then, an eclipse.

You hear a scream. if it weren't so dark, you'd see who's the killer. How the hell can he maneuver in these light conditions?

You hear a soft moan, followed by the sound of a body falling to the ground. You are then roughly pushed to the ground. The thoughts of your impending death flash in your mind and you close your eyes, but... it never comes. You hear the sound of the others being pushed down.

And then the sun reappears and the four of you that remain are getting up, dusting yourself from the fall, or "faked fall" for one of you. A more or less equal distance from the four of you lies Farside's body.

Happily Ever After is a principle written of in the wiki. Usually it would apply to a game where both parties have NEVER commited a kill, however I've received a pm from scum saying they're not planning to kill anymore. Therefore, and to avoid this game stalling into oblivion, I'm instauring a "secondary deadline". It's inspired by Plum's idea in mafia 101.

I don't think this decision favours a party over the other and I don't actually have a choice, unless you want to turn this game into a fight of patience between town and scum.

Of course if the four of you are desperate to turn this into a game of patience, I could remove the HEA close, who am I to stop you?
But I'd rather not.

The day lasts long. Everyone is tired and the sun is setting when Elli finally breaks down and rests his choice on Ojanen. She doesn't even flinch when the rope is tied around her neck, perhaps already dead within after the amount of stress the situation has created.

She seems almost... Grateful when the platform opens and her spine cracks in a sickening sound.

The 3 remaining men turn away from the dangling body and look at each other.

"It's over, isn't it?" asks Elli, visibly drained by the death of his two confidantes.
"Yes... Yes it is!" responds Kise, reaching in his pocket and pulling out a gun.

He points at Elli, hesitates for a second, switches target and shoots DLA between the eyes.

"You've been very good to me Elli. I must say I'm quite pleased with how obedient a lap-dog you can be. It's almost a shame I have to kill you too" snickers the mafioso before shooting the final townie.

He then bursts into laughter as he drags the corpse to the town square and begins painting grotesque patterns on the plaza with the blood of the dead.
