Concerning Hobbits



Everything here is green and fertile. A wonderful land full of green grass, flowers, trees, and parties. And fireworks.

Hundreds of Hobbits live here. Tooks, Brandybucks, Bagginses, Boldgers, Hornblowers, Proudfoots, etc.

However, evil things have been creeping in the Shire. A Hobbit was found murdered this morning.

Hobbits don't murder other Hobbits... that's just not Hobbit-like! And they were murdered with this thing called a "sword".

Occasionally there will be the accidential death of a Hobbit, like Frodo Baggin's mother and father, who drowned in a river while drunk.

But murder- murder most foul and un-natural- was beyond the par!

You nine Hobbits were at Fattyman Took's party last night, and were all found at the scene of the crime.

Thing is two of you aren't Hobbits. Two of you are brutish Uruk-Hai, sent by Saruman to kill Hobbits and get Saruman some pipe-weed.

But you know better! You won't let those nasty orcses steal

your

pipe-weed!

One lynch every day should be enough.

If you lynch sometime between Elevensies and Afternoon Tea you might just have enough time for a nap!

Now, being resourceful Hobbits means one thing: most of you have some pipe-weed, beer, or other vittles left over from the party.

If you use these carefully, perhaps you'll be able to lynch some Uruk-Hai, and be home in time for Supper! However, it seems that some of you are incapable of rational thinking (too much beer or pipe-weed is the culprit), and you might not do what a rational person would do.

But you must endure! For Frodo! For The Shire! For the tankards of beer that await you in the Green Dragon!

Andrius' Mafia RuleSet

Article I: Pre-Game

I. Confirmations will be done via PM in this game. After I create the game thread I will send out Role PMs. Please confirm by PM.
II. Factions with QuickTopics (QTs) will be able to converse privately in their QT until the Confirmation Phase is over and the game begins.
III. When 8/9 of the players confirm, I will unlock the thread for Day One.

Article II: Day Phase (DP)

I. Each Day Phase shall last two weeks.
II. QTs, unless members have DayTalk, cannot talk during the DP.
III. You may vote for someone using the form

Vote: Andrius. Votes must be bolded or they shall not be counted.

Abbreviating someone's name is acceptable, so long as I can discern who you were voting for without trouble.
IV. Unvoting is not required, but is much appreciated by me, the moderator.
V. Once you have reached a simple majority (half of all living players plus one) that person's fate is sealed and they shall be lynched. Unvoting cannot change their fate.
VI. If half the living players approve a No Lynch

Vote: No Lynch

, then no player shall be lynched and the game shall enter Night Phase. If deadline is reached and no one has received a simple majority of the votes, no one shall be lynched.
VII. Once a player is lynched the game enters twilight until I arrive and post a death scene. All players may continue to post until during Twilight.
VIII. If you have failed to post for over 48 hours, I will send you a prod. Failure to respond to this prod within 24 hours will result in the replacement of that player.

Article III: Twilight Phase

I. Twilight Phase is the time between the momenyt when a simple majority for a lynch is met, and when I post the death scene and lock the thread for Night Phase. All players, including the lynchee, may continue to talk in-thread.
II. Votes and Unvotes shall not be counted during Twilight.

Article IV: Night Phase (NP)

I. Night shall last 72 hours (three days).
II. The mafia faction and any other group with a quicktopic will be able to communicate using their QT.
III. Any role or faction with night abilities may choose to use them by PM-ing the mod with their choice.
IV. If no action is received, no action will be taken. All actions received after the deadline has passed will not be acknowledged.

Article V: Capital Offenses

I: Do not quote your Role PM or any private communication with the moderator, co-moderator, or backup-moderator (either real or otherwise). Paraphrasing is acceptable.
II. There is to be no personal communicatrion outside the forum postings (regarding this game) unless your role specifically allows it.
III.

Blue text is reserved for the moderator. Please don't use it.

IV. Do not quote your Role PM. (Again, for emphasis.)
V. Various Outlawed Shenanigans:

• Using invisible text, codes, cryptography, etc.
  
• Editing your posts (if you have the power to do so)
  
• Insulting other players
  
• Do not quote any QTs you may have access to

If any of these offenses are committed, I have the right to force-replace you from the game or modkill you. A warning will usually come before replacement or modkilling, depending on the severity of the infraction.

Article VI: Miscellaneous

I. Feel free to address me in-thread, but if there is a large egregious mistake please PM me. Small matters like errors in the votecount can be posted in-thread.
II. I have the final say on any issue.
III. This is a game. Have fun, and keep the game fun for other people. Modkills will fly from the heavens towards those who make this game un-fun by cheating.
IV. These rules are a living breathing document (yadda yadda). If I need/want to change them I will.

Medical Mafia is made up of nine players. Roles are as follows:

1 Nurse
6 Doctors of varying sanities. Sanities are as follows:

• "Normal" Doctor - Protects a player each night.
  
• Naive Doctor - "Protections" do nothing.
  
• Paranoid Doctor - Roleblocks and protects a player.
  
• Quack Doctor - "Protections" actually kill the target player.
  
• CPR Doctor - "Protections" only work in the target was also targeted for a kill. If not, the target dies.
  
• Weak Doctor - Protects a player each night, but dies if he targets a Mafia Goon.

The 6 Doctors do not know their sanities.

Defeats the purpose to say the eccentricities but we can confirm at least one town this way without giving scum anything seeing as every town person is just as likely to be the real doctor or to become it.

Massclaim confirms the nurse. 3-4 people can target the nurse and possibly find out their sanities. Nurse will probably survive the night(due to the mass docprotects.) If all the doctors find out their sanities, they can proceed to help town with their sanities. Although, I propose against claiming what you think your sanities are after N1. I also suggest against claiming if you'll target the nurse tonight.
