Your vision was blurred but you seem to be fine. Apparently, you must have slipped on something, fell to the floor so hard that you can't even remember why you were there on the first place.

Not so distant is the label on a far wall:

. It seems to be a small convenience store with smaller windows and murkier lighting. Despite there are shelves full of canned goods, chips and biscuits, the store seems to be a bit unkempt with its dim lighting and dust covered floors.

"Dust. How long have I been in here?"

"Your guess is good as mine."

You walk past the shelves and see that you have quite a group: nine people all clueless as to what happened to themselves all staring at the double-padlock on the front door with a constant dripping pool of red-liquid on the floor from a ceiling crack. Suddenly, you don't want to know where that might have come from.

The nine of you must work together to solve this mystery

... why you were locked in here... who might have the answers to this puzzling situation... and who might bear the keys to the lock toward their escape. Something odd is going on and you have a feeling that the answers are closer than what you think.

BASE GAMEPLAY

0. If you don't know how to play Mafia, please use this handy flash tutorial.
1. All votes should be

bolded

and use this format:

Vote: Name

. No "unvotes" necessary as your latest vote will be the one counted.
2. If a majority is reached, then the person with the most votes will be lynched.
3. If a majority is not reached by the specified deadline, the person with the most votes will be lynched. This deadline may be extended (see below).
4. In the event of a tie with X votes when the deadline is reached, the person has the earliest Xth vote cast against them will be lynched. The vote count will always reflect this order.
5. Players may opt to not take action or to Vote: No Lynch. If a majority votes "No lynch", the day will end and the next night will begin.
6. Vote counts will be posted at the top of every page.
7. This game is meant to be played with the first post always displayed. To do that go to Profile --> Then scroll down to "Always show First Post on every Topic Page" --> Choose "Yes" --> Scroll back down and click "Submit"

SPECIAL GAMEPLAY

1. This game has strict three week deadlines.
2. This is a Semi-Open Game, which means all role PMs will open to the public but the composition of the setup will be determined at random (see below).
3. IC's have the responsibility answering Newbie Questions without bias, and without the Moderator interfering with the game (except in cases where the moderator only knows the answer, e.g. Deadlines.). IC's may lose their IC status if they fail to do so. More information in the Wiki article, How to be a Good IC.

DEADLINES AND PRODS

1. Three weeks from when a day officially begins is the minimum deadline for each day.
2.

If there is sufficient activity and requests for replacements, I will extend this deadline one week.

3. In cases where the replacement needs to integrate into the game and a deadline looms, I will extend the deadline two days .
4. Night deadlines are 72 hours from the posting of the death scene.
5. A prod will go out if the player is inactive for 72 hours or more without notifying the mod of V/LA or other issues.
6. A player will automatically be replaced if he/she has not responded to the prod and has been absent for more than five days.
7. I will prod on request.

Howdy people! I'm your friendly neighbourhood IC. If you have a question, I'll try to provide some sort of wisdom. I'm sure the SEs will as well.

A few things that I would suggest to get the game going:

- everyone should have some form of avatar. This actually helps a lot when it comes to telling people apart.

- a big lol at the names of people in this game. s3r9i032123 and S23181208, how do you prefer to be called? If it comes to it, I'm going to call you Sergio and S2. If people want to abbreviate my name - JVW, Julien, whatever works.

- Can we have people post how much mafia they've played before, if any? Also, is this the only game you're playing at the moment?

- Finally, some common abbreviations that come up:

WIFOM - stands for 'wine in front of me', from the scene in the Princess Bride (I think). If any explanation of some subject can be followed by 'but maybe that's what they want me to think', then that's WIFOM.

OMGUS - stands for 'oh my god, you suck!'. This is usually used to describe some form of retaliatory attack. For example, a player might vote for another. If that player then votes the other back, then that's an example of an OMGUS vote. This is considered a classic scumtell by some.

This is my second game, but the first one was a bit of a farce. We lynched a Mafia Roleblocker on the first day and the cop investigated the other mafia the first night, so it was a two day game lol.

I was with sarcyn in his previous game, and let me tell you, it wasnt a game at all. a wreckless page 3 quicklynch, who happened to be the mafia rolebacker, then a subsequent investigation by the cop into the second mafia made day 2 useless.

this would be my 3rd game, unless you count the aforementioned "game", then this is my 4th.
