Heh, I just came here to post one called Stalker... a new name is possible I guess, but:

You are a
Stalker
At the start of the game you must nominate X (2?) players. Each night you may choose one of those players to stalk. If you are successful you will be informed of any players that they target or that target them. If one of your targets die, you may nominate another.

The role can be of any alignment.
Basically it's a limited Tracker and Watcher

Yay. So instead we have a useless role that accomplishes nothing. Which I suppose is a step up from a role that breaks the game.

Or we could make him a townie. With no PR.

Noisy Bodyguard
- Each night you may target one player. If that player is the target of a kill, they are saved and you die in their place. If you successfully block a kill, and die, the mod will post your target's name in the thread the next morning.

Retweak it so that that the role can only redirect the mafia kill instead of making it.

I just think that the player should never ever disagree with the mafia, which effectively makes them a traitor, which is interesting but not new.

It also doesn't quite match the extensive flavour that goes along with the role.
