3:9 was only used originally because 2:10 is boring. Yes... that's genuinely the reason

I would add that if more normals were Nightless 4:8 or 3:3:6 (I believe they are the accepted sizes) I would join them. I don't like joining mini-normals unless I know the set-up. And I'm a sucker for two-fold games. I believe that the solution isn't necessarily more players but the willingness for moderators to run games that are not the norm.

EDIT: Norm was a bad choice of words. But there are lack of games that are nightless. None from what we have online. A lack of 9 and 11 player games (I haven't got stats but I check the mini normal queue from time to time). This is why I would support the capability to have 2 mini normal games in sign-ups at once. Then players have to post something that entices players: "This game is a mountainous nightless.", "This game will not contain a cop", "This game will not contain third parties". Something such as that would get me going into the games. (And would please the "Is this game normal" crew who are pedantic about Masons and Neighbours)

Yeah, I remember it at least 3 times since I joined. And considering I had a few gaps of play it's probably 5 times. I think it's also because it's a big change. I think it might need a "trial" period, like with the newbie games to california to "A Slice of Pie" and now to F11.

I think they spent most of their time fixing the thing broken the most at each point. First Newbies, then the site, and now I think it is the time of the mini normal.

Yos, I don't necessarily see a 'power is bad' meta. More that scum need powers also. People often forget that scum actually have one naturaly their scum kill. They only need extras in extreme circumstances
