If Hu Tao can be confirmed as the Lightning Rod then I think we can safely say that they're town imo. Multi-tasking Lightning Rod into self-kill sounds extremely cheesy and kinda goes against the mod setup ethos that was posted earlier.

I think the only reason we considered Tao being scum from a setup POV is that the cheesyness gets offset by Aureals role

Sorry for making you all wait, I have kinda given up on this game after Alianna flipped jester and Aureal got NK'd. Anyway, here are my thoughts and stuff:

So in my understanding (I asked the mod and got a vague answer) scum can win by being night killed. The thing that I had in mind that could make Lightning Rod a scum role was that maybe there was a town vig, and the lightbing rod would result in an ability to draw the kill. However nobody's claimed vig so idk.

Still, the way Hu Tao has been playing this day phase (for example the post quoted below) is extremely sus.

Why is it sus?
1. Because that's a terrible argument. Obviously scum CAN'T self-enlighten, that would be extremely stupid.
2. Because this is bullying Kitty into voting Hu Tao instead of using logical arguments, something that I feel is scum indicative for Hu Tao (but also scummy in general).

Also IIRC Hu Tao wanted to rush Alianna's lim yesterday when people started TRing Roden. Right now she is trying to rush her own lim. I don't think I have to spell out why this could very much come from scum.

For reference, there was a multiball game earlier this year where scum only made one kill every night, and Alianna was roleblocked. People said "oh I guess scum made one kill because they were roleblocked", even though Alianna was the most obvious obvtown to ever obvtown that game. Needless to say there was a different explanation for the one kill per night.(Drew you are the only one who was in that game I think)

I still dont understand how i went from being scumread by basically everyone to "Sakura was pretty townie" after I get replaced. Like my replace out was 100% NAI (I wasnt having fun with the game and felt like nothing i did mattered).

TBH it was Roden who was townie + your interaction with Alianna seemed unaligned (you said "why is the person who's scumreading me for trying to have fun this game town exactly?" IIRC)

But this was a weird game in general.

I wasn't even lock towning Alianna, I just thought she was moderately towny. Like I 100% preferred to go Night Lights over Alianna, and I also wanted Kitty over Alianna, but Black was bullying me and saying that Alianna was the Day 1 spare no matter what so I gave in and lost interest in solving.

If I'd had my way then we'd gone something like Kitty > Black/Aureal > Something Cool, or even Black > Aureal (or Alianna I guess if Aureal died, but it depends on my Day 2 reads in that scenario) > Something Cool

Not blaming Black, I just had zero WIM this game because nobody was listening to me (including Python, but it's good that Python didn't listen to me Day 2)
