CDB's First Lesson wrote:It is NOT scummy to place a second vote on a player when it is four to lynch. The reason for this is because yes, while it does expose the player to a possible quicklynch by the mafia, it'd be very obvious who the mafia were if they did that, and so the town would win the game very easily. It IS, however, dangerous to put the third vote on a player. That doesn't mean you should be afraid to, though! At some point we will have to lynch someone.

If you have to ask that, it probably means that you are his scumbuddy.

We're back!!!

As you can see from this announcement, while the site was donw we lost a lot of posts.

Never mind, I suggest we just carry on from here!

As I remember, we had established that I had been jerking around to get discussion going.

The one thing that stood out was that DLMF had expressed strong suspicion of zePPeLiN. But despite numerous requests, DLMF had not explained why. I recall that I was happy with my vote on DLMF for that reason.

@DLMF
: Can you remember why you found zePPeLiN suspicous?

~sigh~

Unvote: DLMF
,
Vote: Alasdair
.

(For those like Alasdair who haven't realised, the cop doesn't get an investigation until after day 1. Well, I suppose this is a Newbie Game, in which mistakes are supposed to be made. I hope we all learn something from this: i.e. if you are scum, make sure you understand the set-up properly before you make a fake claim.)

OK: NO MORE VOTING!

Nothing Alasdair says will stop me from voting him now. But a quicklynch is not in the interests of the Town: the only way we'll find the other scum is by discussion (unless he'd like to make such an error...) So there is no need to rush his lynch. We should still have a discussion.

In particular:
  • I'd still like DLMF to explain hos attack on zePPeLiN.
  • I'd also like Alasdair to flail around for a bit and hopefully incriminate his partner.

I don't want anyone to hammer until DLMF or his replacement has posted.

Alasdair wrote:With my last breath I curse Zoidberg!
I'll take that as a confession. Pity. I was hoping he would defend himself and that his scumbuddy would give himself away in the ensuing debate.

Yeah, I know what you mean.

I said there were two things I wanted before the hammer:

We're not going to get the second but I'd still like to get the first, though, before the hammer.

OK, DLMF so is not coming back.

Let's wait for his replacement to check in and post his/her thoughts, and then someone can hammer Alasdairscum.

It's option 1. According to the mod, he hasn't even visited the site since it went down.

Oh @$*]#!!!!

I have to say I thought that Norinel was probably the last scum by the end, so well played Peter for the a single-handed win.

Thanks Machiavellian-Mafia for modding.
