Skruffs, care to inform me as to the reasons for "almost" voting me?

That's what I thought, at first. Then I saw you describe the avatar as "the eye of the tiger", so now I hear that damn song every time I see it.

Tell you what: I'll shift my vote as soon as I feel real suspicion towards someone.

Sorry for lurking, everyone. Nothing to add last time I checked (around noon), and then all these posts...

Anyway, I agree with Zindaras. Just because Twito decided to spice up his game (read: play stuipdly), does not make him scum.
The real question is: Do we lynch him for it?
I think it's too soon, and too little to go on.
If anything, his eagerness to lynch this early on (as spectrumvoid pointed out) is somewhat problematic.

Spectrumvoid, if I had been voting, that would have been scummy. Since it's only a way to voice suspicion, and has a purely semantic significance, your remark does not apply.

At this point, it is important to hear what Mr Finch and Twito have to say.

Also, major
FOS
on Hemisphere Dancer for failing to contribute.

Twito, why the FOS?

At this point, everyone are acting rather reasonable.

Everyone, except Twito. He has a reason for this, but that shouldn't automatically exclude him from the list of potential lynches. I excpect at keast some answer to my question, otherwise it is casting groundless suspicion on me, something I can't respond to in any way.

This game certainly stumbled on a major obstacle.
Anybody has any suggestions? (I'm looking at you, 100-games-played...)

First of all, sorry for the late response. Somehow missed the e-mail about your post.

Second of all, Skruffs, I commend you for the vote. Why the masochism, you ask?

Well, I believe in pressuring lurkers. Lurkers was the thing that most irritated me in my last game (and 1st one online), and I felt my lack of posting. It's just that there are very few leads.
My honest mistake can't be defended by logical reasoning, so I won't try. Lack of attention is just that. Take it or leave it.

I haven't FOS'ed Twito because in a way, he did it all by himself. We all know he acts suspicios (his was the most suspicios 1st post I've ever seen, and I bet the IC's could say the same), and some of that suspicion has been explained by his not complete availability (mind you, not all of it. As stated in mt last post, no. 83, his vacation in sunny Mexico does not absolve him. If anything, I'm thinking of voting him out of sheer envy. I hate the winter, even the relatively mild one here in the middle east).
No reason to make a mostely semantic act such as a FOS when suspicion has been aroused.

For the time being, I'll
Unvote
.

But that just 'cos you're my scumbuddy [/sarcasm].
If I'm going to be voted, I'm taking you down with me!

You know, reading Lady Dancer's post, I got an unpleasent feeling. There is a tendancy to vote and FOS me, not founded on logical conclusions, but based on amorphous 'gut instincts'.
This is somehow scummy, since I can't defend myself against arguments such as "I can't say why, but I feel..."
So, I ask you, Dancer (Can I call you Dancer?), to ask me specific questions about things that struck you as odd and I'll do my best to answer them. Same goes to everyone else who want to jump on the interrogation wagon.
I just need to warn you: I'm ticklish.

I rather like the proposed game.

So,
Skruffs is scummier than me because even though he tries to act smoothly, a quick scan of his posts reveals than every 4th one contains a vote.

Since I can't really find fault with the reasons he put forth for voting, it could be argued that this is just his game style, leaning on players by voting them. However, some of those instances are just too convinient (like jumping me for my mistake in the FOS, see post ).

Regarding my post directed at the lovely Dancer, you are clearly so far from being a gentleman, you even find my manners towards a member of the fair sex strange.
Fortunately for you, you haven't said anything to offend the lady, or I would have the stable boy handle you in the manner most suitable to those of your station in life.

I request to disregard Twito's last two posts, since he is technically dead (could someone prod the mod, please?)

I don't know if Twito is scum, and I'm not even sure he does (by his own addmission, he haven't checked), but I believe that if he is a townie, his deliberate scummie playstyle (despite the statement made by him, where he claimed he would play like a townie), the display of emotions, unbecoming a townie or an IC, for that matter, is not pro-town in any way, shape or form, and that is the reason for his bandwagon, with him as the hammer.

If he is town, commiting suicide is not merely sore losing, it may cost all of town the game.
All the newbies should learn the lesson here, and avoid these mistakes.

Mgm, you're right.
I made a mistake, due to the fact that Skruffs voted him twice.

"Knock, Knock"

*Rushes into the room*
Sorry to keep you awiting, ladies and gentelmen.
I am now fully at your disposal, and anxious to get this thing moving.
*Turns to Lady Dancer, broadly smiles and raises his top hat*
Madam, the thought would not cross one's mind, since that may mean you shall abate your lovely utterances.

To the business at hand: I do not see my posts as "riding" Skruffs. He was the most active poster, and so I wanted to get the most out of him. After the initial voting, I unvoted and waited for more concrete information to work with.
I was the 1st to participate in his game, since he approached me. Giving him a taste of his own medicine seemed a good idea. His answer pleased me at the time.
At this stage, I'm not sure about his role, but the points raised by me are still valid.
Could there be something more to his energetic play style than meets the eye?

Regarding the hammer on Twito, I think I covered it all in my last post. People who act as he did towards the end of the day should not take part in this game.

Madam, the reason for my lack of communication with Ms. Void has been the absence of any attention from her and no cause for suspicion on my part (yet).
I assure you I will use any oppurtunity I get to the utmost.

I knew this would happen. I lurked and got punished for it.

But, as always, I demand a reason for the vote.

What is it about my posts that you find scummie?

I apologize for the misunderstanding.
However, this is a risk Scruffs is taking. I'll take my chances, since he put me in a dangerous position.

I'm townie, he's lying, and therefore he's scum.

Vote Skruffs
.

If I am lynched, town loses. Simple as that. Do the math.

"The only reason that matters" is false. Therefore, you're scum.

"I wouldn't be jeopardizing the town over something stupid."

Unless you're scum.

Well, since I'm clinically dead, let me just say: "I told you so".

Yes, my posting style changed, since I used Skruffs tactic last game when I was scum and it didn't work. Now it did work, against me. I guess that's poetic justice for you.

Right now, I'm betting that the other scum is Spectrumvoid. She just slipped her vote in very smoothly, and nobody noticed anything wrong...

The moment our dear Mod will appear, we will test my theory.

You know, the original mafia was played in MeatWorld, with real people sitting around in a circle.

Sounds crazy, I know, but it might just work...
