Baszie unvotes Ryan after putting him at L-1, and cow actually tries to turn that into a case against him. Cow has really been running the game's discussion thus far.

Tubby:

Begins the game with a random vote on Bobo. The two kind of eyeball each other the whole round. Once cow calls tubby out on disappearing, he's back, but only to vote Koriental in post 51, with no real reasoning other than "pressure and competing bandwagons are the way to win".

Mufasa:

Actually suggests we keep cow around regardless of scumlevel because he's helpful. Then randomly pops back in to switch his vote around to Koriental with no reasoning. It's just a bandwagoning attempt on someone who is, IMO, newbtown. Once pressured, Mufasa chalks it up to "just trying to get the chat flowing again". In fact, the only reason anyone forgot about Mufasa is because BoBo opened his mouth.

I really wish Baszie and Mufasa would post so we could get some of their insight. I think Mufasa has a lot to make up for, since yesterday was a very scumday for him. And Baszie is just worrying me with the silence.

The Case Against The Cow:

Cow begins by saying he's not going to random vote and instead poses two questions to the rest of the town. He's appearing very IC, but at the same time, are these questions really helping town? He never really follows up with the questions or guides the answers anywhere, he just asks them and that's that.

Then, Cow is careful that when Ryan Colt pulls the same thing he does, he doesn't answer Ryan's question. Instead, he fires back with another question, completely dodging the answering of that question.

His first real vote is on tubby because tubby is apparently being "too nonchalant". Cow then goes on to pressure me, Ryan, and baszie. That's four suspects in the span of two Cow posts. Oh, then let's not forget that his next suspect is Mufasa when he randomly votes to try and get conversation started,

after

the bandwagon on Mufasa has already begun.

When Mufasa gives his defense (make a bandwagon and create a stir), Cow jumps all over him saying that he needs a "meaningful" reason to vote. Then two days later he just randomly unvotes Mufasa and says he's going to vote Bobo pending a vote count from the mod.

When Bobo the scum is finally lynched, the

only

people not voting for him are Cow, Bobo himself, Ryan (who we now know was Doc), and koriental. The last person to hammer Bobo were Baszie and Tubby.

Koriental was acting very newbtown... like very unfamiliar with the game, etc, which is why I called that one. And usually when I see give ups, they turn out to be frustrated town, as I don't see scum giving up that much. Tubby's claim at L-1... which I thought wasn't at L-1... seemed pre-emptive and potentially scum-like to jump to a claim that fast. Once again, it was my mistake, I did NOT realize that he was at L-1.

Your wild claim that I kept my vote on Bobo (when I was only the second person!) just because I knew he'd be lynched is ridiculous. So can people's opinions not change over time? I decided to approach the scumhunting from a new angle, the "who didn't vote for the scum D1" angle, which shed new light on them. I realized while I had attributed newbtown to Koriental, why couldn't that also be newbscum, as they are rather difficult to discern.

I find it odd that you would think, reckoner, that he was playing scummy, and then note that mafia was "stupid" to kill him off. Ryan was cop. NOT doc. Scum try very hard to find the doc. In fact, it's one of their major objectives. Once the doc is found, especially in a newbie game where there aren't any bulletproofs or other similar roles (BPs cannot be NKd by a shot), then mafia can kill the doc and the rest of the NKs will not be wasted.

This line really seals the deal for me when I think of reckoner as scum, because I consider it a Freudian slip by scum who, upon mentioning Ryan's power, accidentally post the role they are most interested in figuring out, doc.

I would also like to note that it is common for the doc to post as little as possible to stay under the radar. I'm not naming any names, but I believe Reckoner is currently voting for that player.

Reckoner has not been making a lot of sense with his last votes, I think I have a good reason to get him off my 'confirmed townie list'.

I shouldn't have been on any confirmed anything list in the first place.
In any case, the only vote I cannot defend well is my tubby vote, because I'm telling you I had no clue he was at L-1, otherwise I wouldn't have done it. Every other vote I have a reason for.

About my 'confirmed town' list: I myself am calling it townie list, but when I typed that, it sounded like I'm scum. The way I try to find scum is by finding out who is most probably not scum, and focusing my attention to the remaining player's posts. This is obviously my first game, so the strategy might be flawed though .

Playing the newbie card on Day 3 = no no.

About koriental, I'm still a bit concerned the lynch for today is either going to be me, reckoner or cow. I hardly suspect koriental, I asked a question why no one else suspects him either.

I don't suspect koriental because of his early posts in the game. They came off VERY newbtown... however, now that we're down to five and he's still alive, I think it could very well have been newbscum, especially after the epic fail of killing Mufasa.

I can completely understand that people are suspecting me, I've been posting a lot of stuff not relevant to the discussion in progress. However, on day one, I cast the final vote on bobo, it may have been luck, but he got lynched and he was mafia. I could have voted mufasa, putting him at L-1 too. Despite this, can I still be considered scum?

You cast the final vote on Bobo... Dragonfly cast the first vote on Bobo... and I cast the second vote on Bobo. If anything, you swooping in for the kill when it looked like he was going to go down anyway doesn't convince me. That is a very interesting thing to note that koriental & Cow were the only two who didn't vote Bobo on D1 though.

After Baszie, I find Cow to be the scummiest because I feel like there hasn't been much contribution recently... it's more like "lay low and let Dragonfly & Reckoner take the show".

I don't think we need a few more days. Baszie went AWOL and is most likely scum. If Baszie isn't scum, it's really not that big of a deal. We end up killing a scummy town which the real scum could use in the final stages of the game to misdirect attention, and we wind up with two townies and one scum at the end, which is a very winnable situation.
