There's a tiny group of mafia, in your tiny, tiny town. Kill them, or they'll eat our pancakes!
They ate them! They ate them, all!

Alive

Robro
raider8169 (Mafia Goon, survived)
seahawksfan2863
GrandiJoost (Mafia Roleblocker, survived)

Not Alive

hasdgfas (Townie, Lynched Day 1)

A_Squirrel (Townie, Killed Night 1)

Achil
Awesome Pants (Townie, Lynched Day 2)

NabakovNabakov (Townie, killed Night 2)

Acidmix
Cederstrom
pacman281292 (Townie, lynched Day 3)

Chelseafan (Townie, endgamed Day 3)
mith (Townie, endgamed Day 3)

Setup

This newbie game uses the F11 setup, which consists of four possibilities.

a) 1 Mafia Goon, 1 Mafia Roleblocker, 1 Sane Cop, 1 Doctor, 5 Townies.
b) 1 Mafia Goon, 1 Mafia Roleblocker, 7 Townies.
c) 2 Mafia Goons, 1 Sane Cop, 6 Townies.
d) 2 Mafia Goons, 1 Doctor, 6 Townies.

One of these setups was chosen randomly, and the roles distributed randomly as well.

Current Status

Game Over, for the Scum.

Rules:
(stolen from Mr. Flay)
  • Votes must be in bold for them to count, like this:
    Vote: ChannelDelibird
. Unvotes should also be bolded (
    Unvote: yellowbounder
) so that I can spot them easier, but it's not required.
  • A simple majority of votes (1/2 the number of living players plus one, rounded down) will achieve a lynch and end the Day. Unvoting after that point will not save someone's life. If a deadline is imposed, the required number of votes may be lowered, so be careful.
  • Nights will last up to 72 hours, but may be shorter if all night choices are in before the deadline.
  • Dead men tell no tales. If you get killed, stop talking until the game is over.
  • Do not discuss this game with other players outside of this thread, unless your role PM specifically stated you could do so (as scum, and then only at night).
  • Do not directly quote any PMs you receive; I have already posted the roles above, but this holds true for any future messages you receive from me as well.
  • If you see something you don't understand,
    ASK!
Newbie games are here for people to learn and understand; either I or one of the other players will respond to your question. If it has to do with your role, feel free to PM me directly.
  • Treat this game as a commitment; if you're going to be gone for longer than 48 hours (not counting weekends),
    let us know
. I will replace severely inactive players, but your fellow players may choose to lynch you themselves first.
  • Any action which would be illegal to
    actually do
    is also illegal to
    fake
    (for example, posting a
    made-up
PM that shows a Cop result of guilty/innocent).
  • Have fun; don't be an ass;
    participate
    !

Roles

The Mod wrote:You are a , along with your partner _________ (who is simply a Goon). Your goal is to eliminate the pro-town players so that only your side remains; you win if this happens. During the Day, try to blend in with the rest of the players, and get someone lynched.

You may talk with your partner at Night, and send me a choice via PM of who you would like to kill/roleblock (your team can do both so long as you live).

Note: You may talk with your partner privately during confirmations to plan strategy, but no night actions will take place until Night One.

You may talk with your partner at Night, and send me a choice via PM of who you would like to kill (if your partner also lives, they can send in a separate choice to roleblock someone).

Note: You may talk with your partner privately during confirmations to plan strategy, but no night actions will take place until Night One.

During the Day, try to blend in with the rest of the players, and get someone lynched (if that someone is not your partner or yourself, that will make things much easier). You may talk with your partner when it is not Day, and send me a choice via PM of who you wish to kill.

Note: You may talk with your partner privately during confirmations to plan strategy, but no kills will happen until Night One.
Town:
The Mod wrote:You are the , and you can protect people from harm. Each Night, you may send me a choice via PM of who to protect; if they come under attack by the Mafia, they will live. You win if the scum are eliminated, so choose wisely at Night, and try to lynch correctly during the Day.

Note: Doctors are 100% effective in Newbie Games (the person you protect will never die on the night they are protected, unless you are roleblocked). You may not protect yourself.
The Mod wrote:You are the , and you can tell good from bad. Each Night, you may send a player's name to me; I will let you know if your investigation shows that they are Mafia or Town. You win if the scum are eliminated, so choose wisely at Night, and lynch well during the Day.

Note: Cops always get a correct result in Newbie Games (no sanity issues), unless you are roleblocked. You cannot investigate yourself.
The Mod wrote:You are a , and you've got no special powers at Night. No investigations, no protection, no gun to shoot people. Your only powers are the ability to post, vote, and think. Help lynch Mafia during the Day, and you will win the game, along with the rest of the Town.
These are all of the possible roles that are covered in this setup.

Are you implying that you were going to vote for the last to confirm anyway? Your original post suggested you were simply agreeing with what he had said, not that you had coincidentally thought of the same thing.

Do you believe that "last to confirm" is a good reason to vote for someone?

hasdgfas, this isn't the first game we've played together. If you had always wanted to vote for me, you had opportunity to do so previously.

Next player to post: If you had to vote for one of the players who had already posted, and your life depending on whether or not you were right, who would you vote for and why?

Well considering that the first day is supposed to be random (or so thats what
I've heard anyway) I don't see how the "last to confirm" is a bad or good reason to vote only that its a bit random which is what I was going for.

And so yes I was going to vote the last to confirm anyway.
Since someone already voted that way I figured it would make for a shorter
post just to quote the first guy, then vote, and then put down "I agree"

^^
This is a good way to make sure nobody else posts

Also, I would keep my vote on acidmix. I have no idea what he's trying to pull/say, and faced with that which confuses me and that which does not, I'll generally vote to lynch the confusing influence.

Ah, and the post I saw in preview just confirms this.

@Acidmix:

-Why didn't you change the "random" factor you were going to vote for once it was already taken?
-Please explain how a post with a quote and two lines of text is any shorter than a post with two lines of text.
-Why didn't you answer mith's question to the next person to post?
-Do you know who mith is?

1. I don't know, I just didn't

2. well its not any shorter its the same, the only difference is I clicked on the quote button instead of the reply button. What I meant by making a shorter post is that what I did would be shorter then say a post with my vote and then say a long paragraph of why I decided to vote for that person thats all.

3.I just didn't want to.

4. I have no clue who mith is. I am new to this game and these forums.
This really is my first game ever.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The reason I am the current "confusing Influence" is because people keep asking me questions.

mmm...this is going pretty slow. Robro, Achil and Seahawks havent even posted yet. -.-

Yeah, Acid's agreement with my vote was sorta odd, gave me the impression he wanted a "safe" move, but I can accept his explanations. Mostly. I don't really like the "I just didn't want to." response to not answering Mith's question--it just feels weird. It's pretty much the same as not telling us what you think about our situation, and there really isnt a reason to keep your thoughts to yourself.

Mith is the creator of this site right?

I also dont like Nabakov's "agreeing is for wimps and scum" comment...maybe Im just nitpicking, but that statement is obviously not true. But in context, yeah, I agree, Acid's post was odd. Wait...O.o

And I dislike Chelseafan's random vote in the middle of the Acidmix's questioning...after all, stuff happened--if every post before had been a random vote, fine, but Nabakov and mith already started asking Acid stuff. It may be a bit early, but I don't think that the votes should be entirely random now.
