Rules:

• This is a game. Have fun. Don't let things get personal.
  
• During Day, you may vote for the player you want to lynch. Votes should be in the form

  or they may not be counted. It is helpful to "

  " when switching your vote to a different player, though this is not required.
  
• Whenever a player has a majority in votes, that player will be lynched, his or her role will be revealed, and Night will begin. Once a player has reached a majority, no votes or unvotes will be registered. You may also

  ; a majority will end Day without a death.
  
• If discussion lags or Day goes on for too long, a deadline may be set. If no one has reached a majority at the deadline, no one will be lynched.
  
• During Night, players with role abilities may send targets for those abilities. Choices are due by the posted deadline.
  
• Don't edit/delete posts. Use the "Preview" button to look over your post before you submit it.
  
• Don't quote any PMs from the Moderator.
  
• Mafia are allowed to communicate by PM during the Night phase only. Otherwise, do not talk to anyone about this game outside the thread.
  
• If you're dead, you're dead. Do not talk until the game is over; this includes talking to living players outside the thread.
  
• If you have any question, complaint, or comment, PM the Moderator.

Setup:

This game uses the 9-player semi-open F11 setup. One of the following was chosen at random:

• 1 Mafia Goon, 1 Mafia Roleblocker, 1 Sane Cop, 1 Doctor, 5 Townies
  
• 1 Mafia Goon, 1 Mafia Roleblocker, 7 Townies
  
• 2 Mafia Goons, 1 Sane Cop, 6 Townies
  
• 2 Mafia Goons, 1 Doctor, 6 Townies

Role PMs:

• You are a Mafia Goon with XXXX (I will specify here whether they are a Goon or a Roleblocker). Each Night, you and your partner may communicate by PM and decide on a victim. When you have chosen someone to attack, send the name of that player to the Moderator by PM. You may not communicate during Day. You win when all the other players are dead, or nothing can prevent this.
  
• You are a Mafia Roleblocker with XXXX (Mafia Goon). Each Night, you and your partner may communicate by PM and decide on a victim. When you have chosen someone to attack, send the name of that player to the Moderator by PM. In addition, you may choose a player to block, preventing that player from using night abilities. You may not communicate during Day. You win when all the other players are dead, or nothing can prevent this.
  
• You are a Cop. Each Night, you may choose a player to investigate by sending the name of that player to the Moderator by PM. Unless you are blocked, you will be told whether that player is Mafia or not. You win when all the Mafia have been eliminated.
  
• You are a Doctor. Each Night, you may choose a player to protect by sending the name of that player to the Moderator by PM. Unless you are blocked, your target cannot die if attacked that Night. You cannot protect yourself. You win when all the Mafia have been eliminated.
  
• You are a Townie. You win when all the Mafia have been eliminated.

It is a beautiful morning!

Unfortunately, you can't enjoy it. In the night, some mysterious force (ninjas? space robots? Jimmy Hoffa?) has abducted most of the city. There's only 9 of you left, and that's not the worst part: 2 of your number are in the Mafia.

You'll have to keep your wits about you, figure out who they are, and get them before they get you.

Maybe you come out firing like this in other games too. And I'm not saying it's not a bad thing, nothing wrong with putting the pressure on. It's just that this seems a little too much too soon.

It's not like yellowbounder's put theopor_COD at L-2. And it's pretty unlikely theopor_COD is going to get quick-lynched any time soon even if he gets another vote for him, unless we have some pretty dumb mafia around.

All of which makes your attack on yellowbounder seem just a little bit odd to me. Early days, I know, but I'd be curious to hear why you reacted so strongly.
