Round 4 Discussion
« on: September 09, 2021, 09:04:05 am »
Discuss episode 4 here!  Got something nice prepping for the episode 3 in home theater but it'll be a little bit later.

I need a rushmore TC. A crazy rushmore TC into a swap would be golden. Is that what we're getting, a swap or something at 16?

That would be great. Technically Margot could just cut Royal and remain in the middle of two 3s but I don’t think it’s going down that way. This is not the last tribal challenge but there will be some shenanigans after this one.

Didn't get a chance to answer the last prompt, but if I am being told the truth then I think my current position is actually quite strong. If I am being lied to then I believe I will almost certainly be the next one out here.

I've made decent connections with everyone except maybe Gustave, but I have talked to him and he is a fine fellow. I honestly feel like we are still in the feeling out stages and haven't really had to play hard yet because our only council was such an obvious vote. Next tribal will tell the tale if/when it happens.
it is round four my dudes

Lol I don’t think it’s bad. He’s in a group chat but for all intents and purposes they haven’t really gone to Tribal, so he’s just saying until they do it’s hard to say if it means anything

It’s fun the two completely different approaches the tribes are taking on this. Ivanhoe coming up with an extremely strong method, Rushmore brute forcing every option. I think Ivanhoe has a big edge though, even if you know every possible option you need an effective way to narrow the field… unless… by seeing every option they can come up with more tailored and efficient guesses than Ivanhoe’s general use system.

Both teams are really GAMING.

Peter's 95% certainty post of 39 strings does indeed have the string he's looking for.

I have no idea what they're doing now... even though they got it down to 32 they're brute forcing hundreds of possibilities?  Why not go through the list of 32 and see which of those still are valid?  Well, I'm not really thinking about it as hard as they are so maybe I'm overlooking something.

I feel terrible for Rushmore! I’d already written a results draft where they win haha. Ivanhoe’s best was 6 during their thousand trial runs.

I have had some FUN last-minute rewrites of results posts in the past, let me tell you.

They were crying tears of joy over their score and now they lost! So sad.

Great to see you here btw! As for rewrites I had to adapt this beast from a restaurant bathroom because I was out with friends and everyone at Ivanhoe waited until the last hour to play.
