Good to know haha. Bark bark! Nothing wrong with a little RNG to help make a decision. If you do think up questions you wish to ask let me know. I'll gladly increase the amount of posts as frequently as I can!

additionally, i liked your speech format with how you came to vote people but wanted to know like a quick overview of the game for you, not just the jury. like what do you think your narrative in this game was. what was the biggest conflict that once you got over, you knew you would get to the end?

I got all the images off of pixelbay (a free image site) and then used standard MS Paint to layer them atop each other and inserted a text box. Nothing super crazy haha.

Thank you for the compliment! I was trying to find a way to be succinct in describing each round of the merge since that was the only thing we all experienced together. Plus I only had 2000 characters I can use, when clearly I have the ability to wall the heck out of any response.

You have asked me to give a quick overview of the game, which is complicated. Like the game of survivor itself, I felt like my own narrative evolved as the season progressed and I learned something from every round of this merge, which I was grateful for. Let me see if I can sum up what I think of my own narrative while being quick.

First Part of your question (Narrative):
Spoiler
Original Tribe:
My original goal and narrative I wanted was that I was a big team player and someone who could connect with people, especially those who struggled to make connections elsewhere. I made a really strong connection with Duke early on, and Duke had his name come up numerous times for activity reasons. Kylie was also someone I tried to make a connection with, but man it didn't help when she didn't log on for almost 2-3 days at a time to socialize.

Quick Narrative Summary: Team Player, Social, Well Connected

Trash Island (swap tribe):
On this tribe I wanted to make genuine connections with people from Rushmore, my options were Madame and Margot. The only way I could show that I was open to working with them, was to help them progress. This was proven during the Anthony vote where although some people suggested we keep him, I wanted to show good faith that we weren't some almighty pagong and open to hearing others out.

Quick Narrative Summary: Approachable, Willing to Listen, Build Bridges

Merge through F8:
My goal at the merge was to assess my own perception from the connections I'd built the first two tribes to see how I was perceived. Once I had a pretty good handle on it, I began to find ways to be a more desirable person to take far in the game by lessening my own threat level and finding shields to work with. The words I used in my conclusion should show that I accurately read the situation and the room as those were direct phrases told to me at the merge. After flipping during the f10 vote, the perception that I was some dirty pagonger and playing a "competent game" was gone and things became more fluid at that point as I had worked with Rushmores to get out an Ivanhoe. Then there was the mess of the Herman vote, but once again I worked with Rushmores to vote out an Ivanhoe which continued to sell that perception.

Quick Narrative Summary: Reduce Threat Level, Find Opportunities, Strike When I feel On the bottom

F8 till now:
After Duke quit and Royal made his speech, my threat level and what I was doing to reduce it was verified in the public post. At that point, I had done enough to seem like someone that everyone wanted to go to the end with. However, it was time to work on changing that now as if I continued doing what I'd done in the beginning of the merge, I was going to be the Keith that Richie tried to paint me out to be at the last tribal council. So instead with the final few votes, I worked on being more open with my thoughts, tried to be up front with those I was planning to vote for, and doing my best to solidify my social bonds that I'd forgone for a couple rounds.

Quick Narrative Summary: Re-introduce Social Game, Fix negative perception, Be more open with thoughts

I know that's probably longer than you wanted, but hopefully the Quick Narrative Summary and "brief" overview shows how my own interpretations of each phase of the game changed and how I adapted to meet the perceptions on the table.

Second part of your question (Biggest Conflict):
Spoiler
Duke leaving and Royal Posting were both the most pivotal parts of the game to me. With Duke gone, I had shed away my "tight pair" that I had built with perception over the course of the first half of the merge. If people had wanted to take a stab at us, I was perceived as the more social of the pair and it would have been a problem. Once he quit though, I got to be a lot more relaxed as I was seen as someone who wasn't strongly connected with any one person (at least that was my perception of things). However, I also was emotionally distraught over him leaving because he was such a huge part of my game and I came to rely and trust him, so I had to pick myself back up, and decide that I was going to do this no matter what setbacks came up.

When Royal posted that he couldn't see a chance that I would win, that was the absolute 100% moment I knew that everyone left in game was going to want to sit next to me at the end because they would have assumed I bungled my jury/people management so bad that it was unrecoverable. From that point on, I used the opportunity that Royal gave me, and considered it a gift. It meant what I had been doing was working, and now it was time to ride that perception to the end, while working to evolve from that and change my own story. It wasn't perfect, but I used this post to grow my own perspective and evolve how I was playing to get to the end.

That was probably more than you asked for, but I hope the Quick Narrative summary helped a bit. Tail wag Bark bark!

can you tell everyone to read this because wow this was really helpful and should have been the whole speech (though i get the need to limit).

also since this is my last post: congrats on making it this far and best of luck. the randomization is capped at 5.

In my original 7800 word speech this was all incorporated (and in fact shorter revised versions also had that in it). However I had to really decide what sort of opening I wanted to have because I was forced to do 2000 words or less. It was hard, let me tell you. I went from 7800 words to 4500 words to 3500 words to 3300 words and then at that point realized it was starting to sound robotic so I scrapped half of it (drafts are in my confessional you can read post game) and instead decided to focus on the absolute necessary parts where we all experienced them (the merge).

So I have to thank you for asking the question, because it really has expanded upon part of what I wanted to say in my original speech, so you've basically given me a platform that I can elaborate further on my own personal journey to get to this point.

Thank you for the 4 posts and you were such a unique person to play this game with! I appreciate the congratulations and wish you and the RNG platform you are using to rig your vote in my favor. Dog wink!

I'll probably throw a meme in here at some point for the 5th randomization point.
