Ah, the honeymoon phase. Getting to know everybody. I'm having pleasant conversations with most people. I haven't played in a while but I am really excited to be here. I absolutely adore this theme.
I look forward to chatting with you lovely spectators as well!
Your friend,
Richie

Oracle is maybe the most active from last night and made widespread good impressions. M. Gustave and AA both mentioned him specifically.
I'm particularly enjoying my conversations with Young Writer and Suzy Bishop. I offered Suzy an alliance and she accepted.
CONFESSIONAL PROMPT: What do you think of your new tribe? Are you finding more safety in the large size, or struggling to keep up?
Feeling safe is an illusion, but I am reasonably confident in my ability to navigate a tribe even this large and stay safe in the early rounds.
-
Let's see, I'm trying to get M. Gustave to spearhead something between myself/gustave/AA/oracle and I'm also working an angle to create a trio with AA and Young Writer. Overplaying as usual.
-
Oh and I haven't actually really started trying yet but I want a Wes Anderson Fan Club alliance with Suzy, Herman and Young Writer.
Sam is my least favorite I've actually chatted with, and I realize now I haven't even exchanged a message with Kylie yet... woops
-
Oh Duke exists too I guess. We have PMed but I still forgot about him. I think that says something...

Congratulations on completing the first 24 hours of Survivor: A Wes Anderson Production! In recognition of this momentous milestone, I have come to provide stimulation in the form of SPECTATOR ENGAGEMENT. As a note, please do be informed that these questions are being posted to every confessional in identical form. These are not individualized at all - please do not read any intent to guide or influence you, as this would most certainly breach some form of journalistic integrity that I surely hold dear as... I think my character is a journalist? Okay, I'm doing the thing where I type out all my thoughts and I've lost the plot. HERE COME THE QUESTIONS--------
1. With nothing to do but network with your tribe, you will hopefully have learned something about those who you will live with, fight alongside, and ultimately cut loose. What is the most interesting, funniest, or just plain weird thing that you now know about one of your tribemates?
2. Your first challenge has brought with it an interesting conundrum in the form of competing goals to vie for. What do you most hope to achieve when the Flea Market closes? What do you believe your tribemates will reach for?
3. As a hypothetical, consider the following:
"Someone is targeting you to be the next vote-out should your tribe to go Tribal Council. Who is it? Why do they want you gone? Who will you rely on to stay in the game? How worried are you that such a situation might arise?"
Thank you dear, and do remember to have fun!
-
CONFESSIONAL PROMPT 2: Is there an obvious target in your tribe? If so, who? If not, will that impact how you play this challenge?
Not especially obvious no. I haven't corresponded with Kylie at all, but that's a failure on my part as much as theirs and no reason to believe they're not communicating with the rest of the tribe.
-
Anyway I don't need to target anyone specifically at this juncture. I've got a few folks I'd definitely like to keep safe right now in Suzy, Writer and AA. I'm also working explicitly with Oracle and I think he's a good candidate to be the leader/shield type for a while, I don't foresee him being in any danger on this tribe.
-
Note to self: Oracle and Kylie have a connection
-
I'm bidding on lots of stuff because I'm selfish and I don't care if we go to TC or not

1. Young Writer speaks Spanish and we've been exchanging some of our messages in Spanish which is always super fun
2. My hope is that I'll bag multiple items. I kind of doubt many people are going to be fully honest with what they're doing but we'll see if this minimum bid plan opens up the opportunity for me to steal here.
3. I'm not terribly worried about being targeted right now. If I do get targeted it will be by one of the folks who isn't communicating well with me.
-
Immunity is good too
The fact that the bidding is exactly $1000 off from the tribe's agreed upon plan is pretty great, it allows me to cast suspicion on those who claimed they wouldn't bid on anything rather than on the people who proclaimed they would bid on certain items.
-
OK I got two items which is cool but somebody yoinked the one I was publicly proclaimed for which is annoying
-
So these Team Zissou rings can be like an unbreakable alliance friendship bracelet or something, wild
-
To reveal and offer the Zissou ring to Young Writer or not to reveal it... that is the question
-
Sharing some reasoning from my modchat
If I do it now the play is Young Writer
[11:28 PM]
They're one of two people I believe would accept the ring without hesitation instead of rejecting it
[11:28 PM]
Getting rejected would be BAD bad right now
[11:28 PM]
I trust Suzy to be a more loyal long term ally without a game mechanic forcing her to be
[11:29 PM]
And YW and I are already in two group chats together with the potential to get involved in more
-
Here goes nothing
In spite of the Auction nonsense I am still inclined to agree that we are in a good position to survive this tribe. But damn if it didn't make things complicated.
I have such a deep appreciation for your game sense Writer. I believe we are on the same page about the importance of the group chat with Suzy. I see that as the absolute most discrete of all, while most anything else could be shared with AA in the Bureau. After Gustave started the Four Horsemen chat I had a bit of a back and forth with him where I convinced him the right move was the reveal it to you and trust in our trio the most as an information clearinghouse. With both of us involved in that chat I'm quite confident we can keep the Horsemen on the right side of you as well.
Hum hum hum... there is something else that Pietro and I are dying to share with you but before I do I'd like to make sure you are actively online so I can get your most immediate and confidential take on the matter.
Your urgent friend,
Richie

WHERE ARE THE SPECTATORS GEE WHIZ GOLLY

And with that we have set a course for the trajectory of this whole game. Wes Anderson Superfans to the fucking moon baby.
-
How did you explain having the ring to Young Writer?

How did you explain having the ring to Young Writer?
He confirmed he was online, I initiated the transfer and told him to be on the lookout for something amazing

WHERE ARE THE SPECTATORS GEE WHIZ GOLLY
SNOOPY TOOK A NAP. YOU CALLED?
-
WHO DOES RICHIE THINK "YOINKED THE ONE RICHARD PUBLICLY PROCLAIMED FOR"?
-
Snoop, boy am I happy to see you! Thanks for stopping by.
If pressed to make a single guess, Sam seems a likely candidate for proclaiming he's doing nothing while yoinking items.
-
Going for a 1
-
jfc the internet here is bad

CONFESSIONAL PROMPT 4: How do you feel about Rat's elimination?
I suppose I'm glad I won't have to put up with jokes about how Rat is a rat
Mods can you post the prompt 3 here? I missed it yesterday.
-
Do these challenge results impact your strategy moving forward? Are you beginning to trust some of your fellow players more or less than others?
-
Trying to get a 5
-
Trying again to get a 5
-
OK OK once more for the 5
-
5?
-
WHY THE KYLIE VOTE, RICHIE?
-
Well pooch, because they're not here
-
Tricky dicky idol snatching time tomorrow night
-
CONFESSIONAL PROMPT 6: Who in your tribe is being overlooked, either as an under the radar threat, or as a potential ally to pick up?
I am! I mean, not really, I'm pretty allied up and not that subtle. I think Duke might be a sleeper pick here.
I managed to miss another prompt didn't I...
-
Huh, I guess I might actually be Oracle's top ally
-
Ladies and gentlemen, boys, girls, baes and theys... tonight is HEIST NIGHT!
-
I've deliberately taken the strategic role in this challenge that won't look out of place not posting immediately on each page
-
Right, so the suspects for having the heist plans idol on the other tribe are:
Margot
Buckley
Max
Klaus
Peter
-
I think it's either Peter or Buckley who was heisting an idol during that challenge.
-
Spectators you absolute hos where are you
-
CONFESSIONAL PROMPT 7: Who is in the best position on your tribe? Who is in the worst? Where do you fall?
I mean, not to flex but I am. I'm insulated between two larger groups in the Horsemen and the Crossed Keys. I have an unbreakable Zissou alliance with Writer and we have two very strong trios with Suzy and AA. I'm personally allied strongly to Suzy, AA and Oracle. On top of all that, I've got the idol. I might be getting a target on my back that'll be problematic later on but I've got a great set of defenses ready for when that time comes.
Duke is currently in the weakest position but that could easily change, and I'd personally rather see Sam go before Duke if there's another tribal.
-
Don't talk badly about us specs, there are at least three of us!
Who are the members of those named alliances and how do you feel about them?
-
HOW RUDE! CAPTAIN, WE'LL SHOW HIM WHOSE BOSS HERE.
WHO IS RICHIE'S MOST TRUSTED ALLY AND WHY?
-
Hoorayyyy thanks for visiting! You're my favorite hos.
The two large groups are:
The Four Horsemen (Richie, Oracle, AA and M. Gustave) group PM initiated by M. Gustave with encouragement from yours truly
The Society of the Crossed Keys (Richie, Oracle, Suzy, Herman, Writer) group PM initiated by Suzy with encouragement from yours truly
My most trusted ally is Writer because we're now obligated by the mechanics of the Zissou rings to never vote against each other before F4. We're not telling anyone about the rings ever. Suzy is equally trusted as my first and number one ally.
Richie, Writer, Suzy is a trio chat I started called the Wes Fanderson Club. We're super tight and we all agree people with a passion for the theme should be prioritized. No one else knows this trio exists as far as I know.
AA is only a hair behind those two right now. I have a feeling he's making plays without informing me (voting Duke to hedge against idol possibility, maybe he took some of the auction items) but at the time the Horsemen came together I managed to convince him we needed to inform Writer and prioritize our three person alliance with him and he agreed. Since then he's gone on to also share with us that he made a three person chat with Suzy and Oracle, while Writer and I shared the existence of the Crossed Keys with him.
Richie, Writer, AA is a trio chat I started that is spy themed and we share a great deal of information among us there including all other group chats (so far) except the trio with Suzy.
Oracle is a step below AA. I may be doing him a disservice because he is sharing a lot of info with me and we're the only two in both of the above group chats, but I know he's close to Duke as well and I believe he's probably got a better handle on M. Gustave than I do so I see him as a mid game threat. I suspect that Oracle has one or more group chats I don't know about.
M. Gustave and Herman I have decently good private communications with and belong to a larger alliance with both. Right now I think I could rely on them in a swap situation but they're lower tier connections compared to the above.
Duke is a decent fellow and probably won't die before a swap so I'm slowly but surely continuing to relationship build on this front.
Sam would be my preferred elimination if we go to tribal again. I think he has items from the auction, he's outside my overlapping alliance numbers and he's we don't have great communication. But he's a professed survivor and big brother fan so I think he could be a strategic threat later in the game if not knocked off now.

Tell Eli Cash that as my best friend since childhood he really owes me a visit
-
WHAT INFORMATION IS ORACLE SHARING WITH RICHIE?
-
Tell Eli Cash that as my best friend since childhood he really owes me a visit
Hello my friend, I am here now.
What are your plans for approaching this twist? If you've had a chance to talk to folks on the other side, what are your thoughts on them so far?
-
Do you want to be kidnapped and taken to Rushmore? Regardless, someone from your tribe is going to be taken away by the pirates. If you don’t want it to be yourself, do you have a plan to make sure it’s not?
-
I swear I would be using this confessional if these twists weren't landing on the single busiest weekend I'll have all game
-
Young Writer, Most Trust
Suzy, Most Trust
Oracle, Trust
M. Gustave, Trust
Ant, Trust?
Herman, Trust...?
Duke, Mistrust
Sam, Most Mistrust

If I do volunteer to mutiny it will be in an attempt to block someone from going and escaping the vote I want on them here. Namely Sam. I am also an overplayer at heart and I think it's a strong risk/reward move to mutiny over and make a play to get into the existing majority there and try to create a small powerful alliance with a couple of majority members. I'm contemplating it.
