I think the main reason is that you weren't close enough to players like Margot who had influence, but also it seems like your tribe suspected you of having spent money on the auction which may have been a contributing factor as well. But from our perspective it seemed like it would be Royal going until it suddenly wasn't.

This probably won't make you feel better, but I was prejury my first three games too and I kept getting told the same thing. I know how annoying and frustrating it is to feel like your abilities as a player aren't matching your performances. But then I made Jury in my fourth game and have been on the Jury, been a finalist, or won every game I've played since then.

Sometimes it just takes a few games to get a feel for things.

We'll leave it a surprise for now. But none of the items from the auction have no function at all.
