Peter, I'm sorry if this is a dumb question, but can you tell me how you came to the solution?
foxy found the solution! i just limited the options.
Essentially what I did for clues #2 and #3 were write out all the possible variations that were possible (2 of them were in the right spot. which meant 10 different variations, each with about 1000 strings each.) to limit them down, I combined things we knew from other clues (at least one 0-4 had to be used or we know at least another 5-9 had to be used).
For the 2nd clue, I slotted in one of the bigger numbers out of position (so for the 56xxx string I slotted in 568xx or 569xx etc...) Then since I knew at least one of the last two x's had to be 0-4 i could write out all those variations of 5680x, 5681x, 5682x, etc... so it was a lot of manually looking at EVERY STRING, but then using the fact that we could only rotate it 15 units to figure out the last digit.
So with the 2nd clue, I got down to 32 possibilities. With the 3rd clue, I did the same process and whichever were on both lists was the answer.
