Herman's not gonna feel good learning that the four people who were supposed to vote with him last round couldn't keep it together to save him but they could go to a tie for Gustave.

The more I think about it the more I think having a rock draw happen here would be the right thing for my game.  I mean, come on... when am I ever going to win an immunity challenge the same round there is a tie vote again?

Royal would be guaranteed safe.  20% chance to lose Madame D. which is the only truly bad outcome.  20% chance to lose Suzy who is just becoming way too unreliable.  20% chance to lose Margot and the only possible other idol.  40% chance to split up Duke and Oracle.

I really want to spin that wheel.

If Suzy flips her vote I'm strongly considering flipping mine to offset it.

I love Survivor man the strategy is just endlessly interesting.

Duke.... Duke Duke Duke

I hate it when the best UTR player in the game does something over the top and ridiculous because they don't believe they can win.  My dude was seriously playing the best game here and he thinks he needed to force this tie as his "move."  No man, you just tanked your game whether or not you get Royal out on this.

Confessional Prompt 25: Why is there another tie? Are the sides the same as last tie? Do you all like rocks?
Because Suzy is paralyzed with indecision, because Duke misguidedly thought he needed a big move.  Not the same sides.  I love rocks!

ahhhh shit I already did too much good work getting Suzy to consider making a four person deal with Margot and Madame... I can't force the rocks if that comes to fruition even though it would be fucking legendary

The binoculars are not even an idol clue!  Oh well I guess it's back to people constantly trying to split votes around me.

OK so, endgame plans update here

I was hoping we could have avoided that 4 to 4 tie an get a group together with a majority vote against Gustave.  Well, originally I wanted the vote against Oracle but that didn't stick.  In the end the grouping I was working towards came together nicely during the revote phase.  Suzy needed the tie vote time to get her mind right and it added to her overall authenticity which helped close the deal with the other new alliance members.  I say that like she can't be planning to cut me at 4, which she very well might.  But I think we're now on track to get to the end with the other most dangerous endgame threats, so the instinct to cut me won't be as strong for any of them.

The new alliance is called the Khaki Scouts, another wonderful Wes Anderson themed group name.  Suzy started the group chat, I helped her brainstorm the name.  It is Suzy, Madame D., Margot and myself.  This is a balanced alliance for myself and Madame D. as we both have long term original tribe allies with us.  It is a balanced alliance for Suzy and myself as I have the closer relationship with Madame D. while she is closer to Margot.  It is even fairly well balanced for Margot and myself, and I think (hope?) it's the best that Margot can expect to find to get her close to the end from here.  Also, every possible remaining idol that I know the potential to exist is within our foursome, so that's very comforting.  Having the premiere challenge threat on your side at this stage of the game is a very good thing too.

Following Royal's publication of their existence, Madame D. and I have shared our Zissou status with Margot and Suzy.  I told Suzy and I waited for Madame D. to think everything through and decide to tell Margot, as they have the longer relationship and so in my eyes it was Madame's secret to reveal.  If revealing this proves to be my unmaking, well, so be it.  I don't think would take a degree in differential calculus to read Royal's post and work out who I gave the ring to, especially not for Suzy and Margot.  Better we be up front about it than wait for them to put the pieces together and wonder why we kept it secret even after Royal made that post.

My ideal final three is Madame D. and Suzy.  That is honoring the loyalty I promised to both of them.  It will be very competitive and in all likelihood a fully live tribal with many jury votes open to win.

Why do you think Royal revealed the rings?  He said you were sneaking around his back while not going against him.  Do you think the revelation hurt you?

Well the revelation certainly didn't help me.  The main thing he was frustrated about was the final 10 vote and revote.  Which I did screw up pretty badly by not fully looping him in on in time.  He's still a mensch.
