Pikachu's gotten better. There's something about Penelope that's almost trying to hard, she's sweet but just a little cloying. That might just be her personality and maybe I just need to talk to her more.

I think Rust wants Chan to be our fourth, while Pikachu tells me Nick wants Pikachu to be our fourth. Nick hasn't said shit about this to me so that's weird, and Rust is mistrustful of Pikachu, so that's awkward. Rust and I agree Chan is probably an island and we are all he has, whereas Pikachu could have some side deal with Nick and/or Penelope.

As for me I want both to be our fourth. I wouldn't mind if we had alliances with everyone pretending to be the fourth.

It's too early for drama though, so I want Nick to tell me about his feelings about Pikachu so I asked him direct.

Guaranteed 19th place or better. Though I'd like to finish in the top 1.

My ranking has not changed. Penelope is here more so that's good, so it may change. I'm wrestling between thinking that we have to vote at least someone out before tribe swap with whom exactly we should vote out.

Run me through the pros and cons between this decision. I'm curious as to the rationale as well.

My paranoia is kicking in that if we never lose anyone and then I get swapped by myself onto a tribe with other tribe people, I could get swap screwed with people trying to eliminate someone who was on a tribe who never lost a member. I think this is really unlikely. But the prejudice of being on a tribe that won could follow all of us into the next round of play if we don't lose anyone.

Chan is a target but I want to keep him since the group PM "alliance" is probably all he has. Leaving Kate, who is newer, which I would feel bad for eliminating.

I want to make Rust less trustful of Pikachu and Nick so I'm his ride or die buddy

Why would letting Chan or Kate go be a mistake? How would it help your game to get rid of Penelope or Pikachu?

I feel like Chan and Kate don't have a lot of connections, and one of their main connections is me. Letting Chan go when we practically have a four person alliance is letting someone loyal go, and letting Kate go is letting someone on the periphery who wouldn't vote for me (probably) go.

Pikachu might be a mistake to let go too, Nick might get mad, plus he'll probably vote with me these first few rounds, but I'm kind of wary of him.

That kind of leaves Penelope? Who is fine but might make Pikachu and Kate mad if she's the vote. But she's probably not aligned with me. Getting rid of Penelope means getting rid of someone who may be closer to other people and may not make my close allies (Nick and Rust) mad.

What's your thought process going into this challenge? Are you optimistic about your chances of doing well?

And when do we move to chapter 2?

I think this challenge is going to come down to a bit of luck, honestly, so we'll see if we have it or not. I don't know how to answer it but I imagine everyone is having a similar situation.

Chapter 2 was supposed to be round 2 but then I got too busy to update so maybe it'll be at swap or maybe it will be if we lose this challenge.
