Yeah, this is my first time doing this kind of thing.  I'm going to set a goal of posting at least once a day with something new, because if I can't think of anything to say, I haven't been playing enough.

Honestly?  I just want to get out of the early game alive.  That's all that matters right now.  I can focus on the rest of the game when I get there.

Hmm.

Hercule - Almost certainly the player who's putting the most effort into their posts, except for maybe Judy Hopps.  However...
Judy Hopps - The most impressive first post came from them, but they took a while to respond to my reply and the conversation has stalled, so I don't really have much else
Cheddar - I've enjoyed talking to this doggo, however all of our replies so far have only been icebreakers and not much else
Grouch Cop - I've also enjoyed talking with him, but we actually discussed some things about the game too.  I'd put him at the top of my trust list right now.

At this point, are you thinking of alliances in this game? If so, who would you be interested in working with and what skills would they contribute to your alliance? If not, why would being a neutral party be better for your play at this point? Is there a long term strategy that you're thinking of down the line?

I'm not 100% sure on the specifics of the alliance but it would definitely have to include Lucifer.  And no, I don't have a long term strategy yet.  It's too early to be thinking about that.
