I DEFINITELY needed this immunity.
Jake feels most backstabbed by me which is a big RIP and a half <3. Was it a good move that I was planning on sending him home, maybe not! I think it definitely solidified my position as a free agent which I then went and threw that away by allying with everyone left in the game. Except Leon, though! He came into my PMs to tell me how much he thinks voting for Jake was a bad move like......why are you simping for this man who is not taking you to the end. Did you get picked yet??
I'm proud that this move flushed an idol. To have that randomly come up later would have been disastrous. I'm proud that I gave the merge a clear enemy here, either Jake or me, and from what I've been reassured, most folks are on my side, but that just might be the immunity talking. I think I usually play this game by trying to float the middle and no one ever feels trust in me and sends me home. This game, I wanted to explicitly choose sides. Like voting for Judy even past the majority, campaigning strongly for Jake. I've gotten compliments on my honesty from Lennie and Poirot and Grouch, folks I really didn't go into merge working with
Just that I was willing to talk about tribals with them even if we weren't on the same page. I think this radical honesty is refreshing to some people? And it makes them feel like I'm on their side completely even if I don't vote the same way they do? So now, I still get to play the middle, but I don't have to pretend like I'm voting with someone when I know I'm not.
