Challenge 1: The Fresh Prints
« on: June 26, 2020, 03:09:09 pm »

Alright, officers, our first case has come in and it's a doozy. Somebody actually broke into our very own police station and stole all of the toilet seats from the restrooms.  We are looking for leads, but right now we have nothing to go on.

The crime scene investigators did find some fingerprints, but unfortunately a lot of them are partials or are otherwise of low-quality.  Since our crime computer isn't working at the moment, your first assignment is going to be to match as many of these fingerprints to a provided list of suspects.

When your tribe is ready to start, notify a moderator.  In your precinct we will post 10 fingerprints and 20 suspects with the fingerprints we have on file.  As a tribe you must submit one bolded list of which suspect belongs to each fingerprint.  The tribe that gets the most answers correct will win immunity.  In the event of a tie, the tribe that submits the fastest will be the winner.

Since this is your first challenge and we want you to have time to get to know your tribemates, we are giving you more time than usual to complete it.  The deadline will be at 5 PM PDT on Monday.

That winky face signifies that our team's done.  Is any other tribe done too?

We're done! We finished in one second with zero errors by having a pre-recorded list with all the names randomly guessed. Call it luck of the draw.

The tribe that gets the most answers correct will win immunity.  In the event of a tie, the tribe that submits the fastest will be the winner.

Embarrassingly enough, this sentence was supposed to be revised early in the design phase of this game and it never was for some reason. TWO tribes will be winning immunity.  This was always the intent of this challenge.

Sorry about that.

Mods, bold suggestion but dig in your heels. There was no typo- or wait no, there was one, nO ONE wins immunity. This was all for laughs, mega tribal immediately.

I'm just here to have a horrible time and make that everyone else's problem too.
You have the right to scream your head off. Should you give up the right to scream your head off, someone who will scream their head off... will be provided for you.

I like how there's no '0 minutes remaining' since there's no second increments so it just says 'remaining.'

Time is up, rookies!  First of all, let's see how long you all took.

Spoiler
The 12th Precinct finished in 19 minutes and 19 seconds!

The 27th Precinct finished in 21 minutes and 36 seconds!

The 99th Precinct finished in 24 minutes and 18 seconds!

Of course, those times only matter if there is a tie on how many you all managed to identify.

Let's look at some answers...
1) Diego "Margarine" Tyler
2) Wallace Romero
3) Andy Lewis
4) Pascal Wagner
5) Shorty Thompson
6) Honeypalms Jonas
7) Archie McMahon
8 ) Perry Belvadere
9) Vincent Giovanelli
10) Yuri Chernyshevsky

The 99th Precinct got all 10 correct! Will slow and steady win the race?
Spoiler
The 12th Precinct also got them all right!
What about the 27th?
They only correctly identified 9!  The 27th Precinct will be attending the first TC of this game, where somebody will be asked to turn in their badge.  Hopefully you all took advantage of the extended socializing time; now is the time to apply all your skills and convince your coworkers that you should stay in the game.  Good luck.
