Title: ...and even further into the fire (Round 6)
Post by: Paul Blart on July 09, 2020, 05:11:50 pm
Let's uh find a way to not let the other six throw this challenge I guess?  Seems like that's gonna be really hard to pull off, but we'll see what happens!

The good thing about this is that I'm certain that I'll be going home the next time this tribe goes to TC.

And that I'm pretty sure they're just going to throw this, that'll be fun.

Literally just give me the jigsaw and either everything will be okay, or I'll lose and deserve to go home.

Lennie being the only one not to be talking to me right now kinda sucks, but it absolutely makes sense given that he ghosted me for the last ~8 hours of the TC and probably just doesn't want to lie about liking me whereas the others all don't care because lol this is survivor everyone lies to everyone else constantly.

Because I thought that's actually what was going to happen!  Chase is absolutely the bigger threat and would have been a better vote if I knew what was up, but I suppose that if I knew what was going on I would have had a lot more to consider (but likely would have ended up somewhere else despite the fact that Chase would probably have been the best vote).

Decent start with the whole Not Throwing thing I think?  Though the three of them got 25 words in 15 minutes whereas I had 22 working independently of them.

The ones I had that they missed were Theft A1, Robbery O6, Obstruction R9, the correct Piracy (though I didn't find Conspiracy), Libel E23, and Felony A13.  The ones they had that I missed were Racketeering, Sedition, Trespassing, Tax Evasion, Embezzlement, Treason, and Arson.

And now, barring Lennie or Cheddar lying in the forum or their PMs respectively, we are only waiting on Judy to finish her part before it's jigsaw time.

Judy: "There's this Pokemon Stadium speedrunner named Werster who does cool stuff!"

Me, a Pokemon speedrun fan: *tries to not fuck up explaining the fact that he got cancelled for being abusive a couple days ago*

Please do your anagrams people, I want to at least be able to attempt the jigsaw puzzle

Interesting puzzle...I was going for the colors before I started on the actual words, oddly enough.  Puzzle was probably bigger than I was expecting by a little bit, but we'll see what happens and how well the size compares to that of the other tribe's puzzle.

Welp, it’s been fun

I absolutely would have done better if the puzzles were equivalent, too.  Eighteen more correct answers and assuming that wouldn’t have changed our pieces per minute average, we’d have won.

Also hilarious that even if they got every single word on the word search, they did on average 100% better than us on the anagrams.  I guarantee you somebody threw.

Like I don't even know where the cracks are because I've probably been getting led on since like halfway through the Chan tribal. Literally the only three angles I have right now are:

1) Cheddar and Chase being close (via Judy)
2) Leon wanting the 27s to stick together in some capacity
3) Leon wanting Chase out

I'm kinda simultaneously trying to play Leon/Poirot/Judy against Chase and Chase/Cheddar against Leon here.  I think that doing both of those instead of just one is probably a bad decision, but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The more that I realize that my mentality about this game is helping me get over the fact that everybody on this tribe voted for me three days ago, the more I recognize how fucked that mentality is, and the more I realize that playing Survivor while working a full-time job where breaks are hard to come by is Not A Good Idea.

Yeah my anti-Leon arguments to Chase and Cheddar have gotten back to Poirot already, I don't think that's a good sign here. Leon might be easier honestly, maybe I should double down on that one when I get up? I'll sleep on it and see how I feel in the morning.

God, voting out Leon 5-2 (all except Lennie) would be such a bizarre mechanic on a new tribe...

This is probably the part where I just change over fully to wanting to vote Leon. Chase and Cheddar seem to at least be considering what I've put down, and I feel like the arguments I made to them do still apply to Poirot and Judy. Lennie's going to be the tough one to convince here, but if I can get someone to put their foot down, then we might have something.

Judy not sending me anything overnight is probably a pretty awful sign here ngl

Fun day for the tribe to be literally completely dead

The dead people are mostly still logging on fairly frequently, maybe I can hope there's a returnee twist or something idk
