Judy Hopps / Re: Voting Thread

From my perspective I needed Lucifer to make up a lot of ground in this FTC. I wanted to provide both candidates with opportunities to wow me with things I wasn't aware of, but I was in a weird position where I knew a lot about both players games before coming in to the FTC.

My vote ultimately comes down to how aware of their game they were, there is a reason players like myself and Scruff are removed from the game when we are. Usually because we have our hands in too many pies which makes us very attractive votes at the end of the game.

From my pov, Lucifer was the opposite, someone to be brought along because they were saved a few times, didn't make huge waves and has nothing to really hold on to as a main reason to vote them. Going in I also felt that Poirot was a forerunner simply because of executing a plan through the whole game. I may be biased but we had a connection despite polar opposite ways of playing the game. Poirot went in to the back third of the game with a plan and executed it. Didn't always go his way, but the ultimate path remained the same.

Lucifer appears to have gone in with a plan of not losing. The problem was, he survived multiple tribals not through effort of his own, but from being strung along to be used later, and not just by me.

My vote is for Poirot.

At the end of the day, Lucifer did not provide enough cognisance to be a deserving winner.

You were always in my final 3 plans my friend. My ideal final 3 was literally you and Poirot.

Will say. I was so against your plan of Lennie at 5 because I was convinced you would turn on me at 5.

You were also going home at 7 in my book at the moment Scruff posted his memoirs.

Oh I do have a question for you.

How much do you think working with Lennie on the Tiger idol impacted the alliance dynamic and merge dynamics?

I ask this because I still think that was a mistake to allow you to do that from my perspective, and I think was one of the main factors that ultimately sent Lennie home four(?) rounds later.
I know this isn't for me, but I definitely don't know what you're alluding to here. Is this because I suggested we all play it for ourselves rather than all playing it on you?

I wanted Poirot to not mention working on it with you and I wanted it to be just me and Poirot working on it. At that point I saw the alliance as being SVU only. That is ultimately why I worked out what it was alone and tried to hold it close to my chest.

And I felt no issues with demanding Jake and You to go home because I was against Working with you so explicitly past SVU, and I was against the Grouch plan. So I saw it as a clear 2 agendas v 2 agendas, hence the bit where Strike was why I was so invested in removing you first.

Hard to come up with good questions for either of you seeing as I was very close to both of you.

For Lucifer: Do you think you had control over your fate or were led on to certain points in the game, specifically with regards to myself and Rust? Ultimately you made it to the end where we didn't, but it's more a case of did you control us, or did we control you and were targeted for it?

For Poirot: You talked about long term strategy and that this was a contingency plan. We talked about it a little but I feel like I spent more time explaining my plans for us to make final 3 than you did. At what point was this your trajectory? Of if this is just where chips fell, what was your previous plan and how confident in it were you that it would have worked without intervention (ie. My immunity swivel and the Jake/Lennie votes)?

For Lucifer. Do you feel like your plan was always to be a challenge threat. I feel like in your speech you talked this up despite not really exhibiting it as far as I can tell. Can you talk about your contributions to BAU challenges please as you did not enter merge seen as a challenge threat and didn't come in to you prime until the last couple after myself and Penny had been removed?

Poirot. I know most of the structural parts of game, but I will fact check on you with the above question if you take credit.

For both of you.

How integral to votes do you feel like you were? Specifically in the latter stages of the game as I know Lucifer, you didn't have tribals, and Poirot, I know your trajectory already and there was no non-unanimous decisions on SVU.

I think there is a point of contention on specific tribals for both of you. I would like Lucifer to highlight the eliminations of Scruff/Myself/Leon

And I would like Poirot to shed light on Jake/Myself/Rust

PS. To mirror what everyone is saying, we're a pretty chill Jury tbh. Been a pleasant debrief on the game so far.

I mean, I had a conversation with him about how to sell himself in FTC because he was getting pretty defeatist after the Grouch elimination.

Hercule was less cognisant of what was happening though in general. Rust's FTC is going to be huge. I have already learnt a heap about stuff I had zero idea about that Rust was doing. And Poirot gave me the impression of knowing even less than I did.

Lucifer starts from behind on both, but he has at least some semblance of an argument when pitted against Poirot. Is there any rubric metric that Lucifer has over Rust? Challenges? He has that even mores over Poirot.

If Lucifer doesn't remove Rust, he is asking to lose.

I mean, Leon loves Rust too, it may be a case of Lucifer recognising Rust's threat and forcing rocks if Leon can't be convinced to vote Rust.
BTW, on this point, does Leon actually love anyone? I seriously don't think he has had any lasting loyalty to anyone in the game save maybe Scruff. I know that during the merge Rust and Leon seemed to have to rebuild their relationship to some extent (I guess after the Pikachu vote?), and maybe that was fake but I don't think so. I know Leon and Rust liked each other on the Narcotics Unit but Rust seemed to be unsure about their relationship.

I believe so, I expect to learn he didn't want to vote me at 6, just I went awol, which I did. I felt safe in that vote had I not slept early and through pretty much the entire phase.

Hilarious considering at no point was Chase going to go that that TC.
The funny thing is it still would have indirectly saved Chase though, because we wouldn't have gone to that 4th TC.

True true

I will say that I didn't expect or think about how Blarts idol play must have looked to the other tribe not knowing Kate was idoled out. If Chase had made it out of the tribe, it would have been much easier to talk about how it wasn't any sort of extermination of the tribe happening.
