BAU

Det. Pikachu, Nick Wilde, Penelope Garcia, Rust Cohle - formerly 12th Precinct
Jake Peralta, Scruff McGruff - formerly 27th Precinct
Grouch Cop, Lucifer Morningstar, Quentin Lance - formerly 99th Precinct

Pikachu has followed up on our four way chat from the 12th by immediately establishing a group PM for between us and Nick Wilde.  This would seem to leave Penelope as a potential 12 Precinct Sacrifice if it is necessary, though I believe Pika and Penelope may still be close.

So far the two new faces I've begun chatting with are Jake and Lucifer.  I'm waiting for people to reach out to me rather than initiating PMs.  Jake has working partnership potential, and with only two members of the 27th here he'll need new friends.  Lucifer strikes me as a strong player, but he isn't jumping to engage with me on any meaningful level.  I suspect that he is very comfortable with Grouch and Quentin and they're all part of the same 99th Precinct bloc.  Quentin must be a part of something, his online time is so minimal compared to everyone else that a strategic deal is the most rational explanation for his survival.

By the time this challenge concludes we will be two full weeks into the game and I still haven't been to Tribal Council.  Remarkable.

Challenge Skills Notes

Pikachu, at least pretty solid on puzzles.  Please lord no more puzzles this game.

I got either 21 or 22 points for my anagrams, plus the 23 points from our word searchers.  That means Lucifer and Grouch both got somewhere in the neighborhood of 29 out of 30 anagrams in 10 minutes.  Very impressive.

Beginning after this challenge I'll start tracking the number of known Tiger clues given to players.  I'd like to have the least.  Tiger clues will be a threat indicator eventually.

What I know about existing alliances right now:

Hercule / Judy / Lennie == This is a core trio I'm assuming exists based on how the SVU tribe shook out.  Without a deeper connection to Lennie there is no good explanation for why Hercule and Judy would cut Chase and leave Cheddar in the dark about it rather than just voting out Lennie's ally Leon.

Hercule / Judy // Cheddar == There was a four person alliance with these three 99thers and Chase, but Hercule and Judy turned on Chase and hung Cheddar out to dry on the minority side of the vote against Leon.  Cheddar seems like the type to allow himself to be reeled back in by the people who played him if they can spin their damage control the right way.

Lennie / Leon == Lennie was described by Jake and Scruff as the cleverest and craftiest of the original 27th.  On SVU, Lennie and Leon were an explicit pair.  I figure Lennie thinks he has Leon pocketed.  Leon is so earnest it may be tough to get him out of that pocket.

Rust / Pikachu
Rust / Pikachu / Nick
Rust / Pikachu / Scruff
Rust / Scruff / Jake
Rust / Scruff / Jake / Pikachu / Nick
==
Aside from the Pika/Scruff/Rust trio working together on the Quentin vote none of the above is actually battle tested, but this five was the presumed BAU majority per Scruff.  Rust/Pika/Nick + Chase on the 12th that was also the presumed majority there.

Rust / Scruff / Leon == implied, Leon assumes this is the core of the Narcotics Unit.

Pika / Grouch == There's something here because Grouch shared the fingerprint clue with Pikachu

Grouch / Cheddar == presumed, and forced together by the circumstance of Scruff aggressively targeting the 99th

Grouch / Lucifer == presumed to be a duo on BAU

Pika / Penelope == The remnants of Kate Macer's trio alliance, RIP Kate

Hercule / Judy / Lucifer / Grouch / Cheddar == not confirmed, but Scruff assumes the 99th is unified or could become so, and it suits my needs to follow that narrative for now

I know very little about:
Penelope's connections outside of Pikachu
Nick's connections outside of the the 12th Precinct Trio and the BAU Five
Lucifer's connections to anyone
Judy, Hercule and Lennie beyond hearsay and informed hypothesis

Concerns:
Pikachu has many side piece connections
Pikachu's connection to Grouch could be a source of friction, though I'm less concerned he would outright flip to Grouch and Cheddar after he cast the insurance vote against Cheddar
Current friction between Pikachu and Leon, if they can patch this up we would have a much more secure Narco Four
Penelope is way too social to have zero connections, she is likely to work herself into the Strike Team power structure
Jake and Nick could easily wind up on the bottom if Strike Team goes to TC

Quote from: Scruff McGruff
Pikachu mentioned to me that the one he could count on the most to 'stick with us' is Grouch Cop, and even listed you as 'being kept in our back pocket' to me. To me, that speaks as though he sees you as a third wheel and trusts Grouch Cop the most out of anyone in this tribe, with you and me around third and fourth on the pecking order in his eyes. I'll be frank with you-- you're my closest ally in the game at this point, and the one I feel I genuinely can confide in and want to go to the end with literally no matter what. I hope you feel the same way about me, because I REALLY do not want either of us to have a chance of going home on this chaotic tribe.

It was an oversight not to include Rust / Scruff on my earlier list of extant alliances.  This is my most important individual connection.

I'm super pleased to finally see some evidence that my long sought goal of someone thinking they've pocketed me has been accomplished.  What a nice, fuzzy yellow pocket you have Detective Pikachu.   I'm going to be comfortable here for some time.
