We’re good, Penelope. I held some grudges during gameplay but it’s Survivor. Once removed from the pressure cooker, I remember it’s a game.
Oh my god this is just like Die Hard!

Also, I was not ready to learn that this is only your 2nd game??? Amazing gameplay for that :P This is FAR from my second game and I still have a lot to learn from you :)

A major lesson here is that I need to take into account the position and perspective of potential allies beyond their utility to my own plans. At merge, I imagined you untethered and grasping for an alliance, rather than a mover in your own right. That doesn’t make objective sense. Fog of war, tunnel-vision, call it what you will.

PE: This was also while working ~60-70 hours a week.

In actuality, I felt like I was pretty secure with what I had. I had a few strong ties with Poirot/Rust/Pika/You and even a bit with Scruff and Lennie, but at that point it felt very tenuous. Was I anyone's 2nd?? Definitely not, but I didn't appreciate being painted as your own sheep, tied only to you as I worried that would just make me an easy boot later down the line so I thought flipping on my "one connection" would solidify those ties I did have. I think it worked in the short run.

And goodness??? I had absolutely nothing to do but this game and you were working 60-70 hours a week??? Thank god we sent you home, get some rest :P

This is pretty much the only time I can do it so I guess we're never competing against each other again :P
