I want to give off the appearance that Dash is the leader and I'm simply a follower so that I can hide behind her for a while. But after sleeping on it, I decided that I'd rather keep Pear around. I'm still going to give Dash the final decision, but here's the pitch I made:

How do you feel about setting up an Evergreen-based majority group at the start of the merge? I'm not saying it has to play out completely along Evergreen vs Crystal lines, but I think starting out with an Evergreen core could help us get into a strong and safe spot right from the start. The Evergreens working together on Wonderbolt makes me think that this could be feasible, and FlimFlam will almost certainly be on board. Pear would definitely be with us in such a situation. I think his lower activity could make him a shield of sorts too, but a different kind than Granny. Instead of a threat, he could be a compromise vote if we ever need one. Do you think that's doable and worth it?

A reason I didn't put in the PM: Getting Pear's vote in a potential FTC should be a lot easier than getting Granny's.
