Despite all the shit I gave Starlite, I do have respect for how hard he's playing the game. I don't agree with a lot of his moves (like idoling me out of all the potential ponies was probably a bad play) but he is entertaining and I wouldn't hate seeing him scramble back to the top.

Fun fact: When I tested this challenge to make sure it had both a solution and also a solution that people could get without taking forever I forgot that taking cider was a valid move and did it with sharing cider only. So I have no idea how long a good answer will be!

The challenge advantages being overkill is intended design, when somepony plays one it should have a huge affect on their win chance

The log off meta feels really dirty, until everypony does it at the same time and you end up with the sogaleo vote from legendary. It's a self correcting problem.

It's more that challenge results go up at 1 am their time. I.e once challenge results are up they go to sleep. But gor east or west coasters it seems like they just logged off.

I don't think this has actually benefited anypony yet. Rainbow and Rarity were on the back foot for most of the first merge vote because they missed a bunch and had no choice but to compromise on a wagon they didn't want.
Granny and Coco maybe did it the first vote, but from what it looks like they certainly didn't the next vote.

And... I don't think it's working for Pear either in terms of winnability. (Although he can probably claim credit for the pinky boot in his resume)

Poor Starlight. Derpy is the obvious target for a lot of people, but with her getting immunity, the vote will likely fall onto Starlight, unless she can manage to turn things around.

Though, given how intense the last few TCs have been, maybe we'll see another upset happen.

It's interesting that TCs being so live does seem to correlate with a lot of this cast not being in an est time zone - people simply aren't staying up to pm 'til 4am.

I don't know how viable a euro-centric mod team would be, and whether having tc 'early' for the Americans would change too much.

I can see Starlight surviving this. Rainbow, Rarity and Pear were prepared to vote Soarin last time until Pinkie got herself eliminated. And Soarin still hasn't fixed his relationship with Rainbow and Rarity.

However, Starlight/Queen/Derpy/Rainbow/Rarity is only enough to force a tie, and Derpy wants Starlight out for some reason.

I'm wondering when queen c will cut her losses and realize her best move is to just sell out derpy and star and pray she that infighting will occur among the majority do she can sneak past. Meanwhile i feel trying to save star just lowers any of the goodwill she might earn.

I think Pear's going to be the only one to successfully attach himself as a third wheel to one of the duos. But he also b thinks Granny/Coco are fully with him, and I'm not sure.

I believe Derpy will try getting picked up by DJ/Soarin again, but Chrysalis is probably going to bring her down by making her own doomed duo.

Rainbow/Rarity need to make a move with the other three next TC though, as the Coco/Granny/DJ/Soarin group probably aren't splitting. Queen and Pear are likely to leak and blindside attempts though, so rip.

and really that's the type of cracks everypony is going to try when they're being closed out. This pony has "offered to help", maybe I can use that to split the rest of their group away from them.
Unless the work has been done before the bottom player is doomed to maybe actually work with them, said bottom player is not going to trust any "hey you're doomed, suggest stuff to me for me to ignore" attitudes, and will try to use them against the one supposedly offering help.
You've got somepony that knows they're on the bottom, and can't see how their way out, throwing any unexpected offers to "help" under the bus is the idea that will come out first in their mind if you're not actually pushing another agenda to save them.
If you want them to throw names out to see if there is an alternative, you actually think of that name yourself for them to attempt a push against. Otherwise don't bother asking, you're going to vote them out anyway.
