Episode 9: Redemption Arc
« on: April 19, 2019, 10:09:31 pm »
I received a vote against me, this clearly means I had a negative episode last round.

I'd go look at doing the mind-reading thing on Coco's and Granny's answer, but I can't actually be bothered, even if Granny's answers looked more fun to interpret, I'm on a different tribe now, so well that episode finished.

I was telling somepony that I feared going into 3 tribes of 5 the most. I'd have rathered take another shot on Crystal Empire.

and then these tribes are going to end up going to multiple tribals, if I can judge by two tribes winning immunity.
Probably next round ends up with 2 tribes going then, and we merge at 12? But that's a silly number to merge at.
Hopefully it's therefore just two rounds on this tribes before merge then, with both being single elimination. I can deal with that, two immunity wins and I'm there.

Also why is the Wonderbolt Academy apparently in Ponyville now? I thought it was in Cloudsdale.

(and I'm also clearly missing something if we have the Golden Oak Library and the Castle of Friendship in the same game, in the order they've appeared in)

(Also I wanted to use Rainbow Dash's Cloudominium but didn't feel like it was iconic enough.)

I'm not sure if it was me doing something else, replying to Derpy PMs or what, but it seems quiet now.

Probably because I've gone from a tribe of 9 to only 5, really, and with how late that tribal council finished, everypony would be off celebrating Easter, well whatever part of them celebrate easter by going to bed on friday night.
Guess that means it's back to waking up early, and with no massive PMs, I can actually happily just reply on my phone. Not that I've ever had problems with that in the past.

I should probably out of the discord survivor so I actually have time to help with the challenge tomorrow. It's not like I ever survive far in those anyway though. Got to try and focus on surviving this game more.
But it's probably also good if I'm out of the challenge, I don't think my words are actually good if I'm doing synonyms.
Although really it'll be thinking of a word that starts with the last letter of word one, then finding a synonym for that as word 2.

I don't know why I'm panicking, I don't think I've ever been the next boot if I had votes cast against me on the preceding tribal.
I'm probably not panicking at all really, trust me, no panic here.
But I will probably go see which previous games I've had where I've had votes against me in more than one tribal council. At the moment all I can think of is Doctor Who and Abridged, although I'm not sure it counts when both were in merge. And the non-MS game I played, that one had votes on me before merge.
Either way it's a good thing, probably. And I'm yet to actually be voted out on a tribe of 5 (heck I don't think I've even been to tribal council on one yet, hopefully that can just continue)

It's probably good I never actually told Derpy that the "master plan" of having Flim and Flam voted out on another tribe was still active.
Because I'd rather them vote out DJ, although at present I see the votes on the other tribes being Applejack and Flim and Flam, but I guess everypony has 48 hours or whatever before anypony is at tribal.

I think I need to rely on pinkie working with me in my own tribe

Even though if the others say so, I'd be happy to just vote her out again. I think the scroll I sent worked for these circumstances.

Ooh shit, I didn't really consider what the other apples would have told pinkie.
How badly do I attempt to throw them under the bus to get her trust? Somepony's going to mention it at some stage. I guess I'd better get in on the ground floor.

My enjoyment of the game is going to be lacking now because I instantly sent us to tribal.

I did say I was busy today though, it therefore shouldn't have been me even in the challenge, and why I would have potentially sat out of it on crystal.

I don't know if I would have noticed it if I'd left the old tribe threads visible, but I minimised them though, I'm too used to my confessional being the last item on the home page.

There was a party in Ponyville for the mayor.
There were balloons and cakes and dancing and singing very loudly.
A thousand fireworks converged in the night sky.
The next day the newspaper wrote about how jovial the party was.
But in the end the secret to fun festive parties is really all about the guests.
You share more of your love when you hang out with friends.

I guess this title could still work if I end up surviving here, but I know after that challenge performance I don't know if I can actually face it.
I know it's just going to sit with me as one of my failing regardless of everything.

and even the cute puppies aren't cheering me up. I think I'm just scared that I'm going to take out the anger I'm building up about myself out on one of those. Because this sure is a way to make myself feel better. Somehow needing to wait that 23 more hours for idk the other tribes to not actually start? I know it's easter and stuff, but yeah.

Maybe it would feel better if Crysalis sent me a message while I've been moping around. I guess I just want to feel the false hope of not getting voted out would bring.

God dammit everything.
Can't really do anything to trust anypony here, wonderbolts academy is just doomed.
I'm going to be so annoyed if the other tribes didn't do really well.

I guess having our loss delayed makes it possible we can still connect.
Kind of pointless imo.
They don't even need 4 players online to beat us

I don't like Rarity's excuse of ant problems causing her to not be here.
Creative, but I know ants, and if they've invested her computer, they'll be back.

I think at the moment I might end up trying to push a pinkie vote.
But when I have zero information, I feel like the result at the end is still going to be my defeat

The main trouble is of course me/Coco can't be trusted for more than this vote, there's literally no reason to not break us up for the other three
I'm going to have to try seeing who in the previous tribes told me stuff about the others, try throwing names of future groups we can work with.
Which I think my best shot of that is with Chrysalis. Possibly that.
As I have an alliance (in the works) with Derpy, and I know from granny starlight is interested as well.
I also know Soarin was interested in working with me and Coco, and he's probably down to work with Rarity as well. How much value do I give to that sweet Apple sugarcube alliance that never really happened?

All I need to do is focus on one of the options for surviving though, and all three probably utilise different events.

Sucks that my ally and I here have opposite timezones though, we can't talk through this.

Because I have to assume the other three will discuss whatever options I bring up myself. And they also know I'm in to survive this tribal, and bring a close ally with me.

Why are all my game talk things with other ponies centered around Trixie?
That just makes everything annoying to bring up information.

Oh good I've been told I'm the vote. That will save the paranoia.
I guess that means I would actually go with doing all three.

Pleas sent out. Now it's the waiting game for none of them to reply.
I'm trying to use Pinkie's scroll she sent me against her.
I can't see it working, but it's literally all I've got that I can possibly use.
And with the answers to the tribal council questions I'm trying to drive in fear of an idol.
I wish Pinkie's scroll had been asking me to throw the challenge though, or didn't exist, I'm half blaming it for me being so terrible at said challenge.

okay now I need to eat my own words, shoot. I completely forgot about the actual contents of Pinkie's first message to me here.

But that's where the pressure comes, I'm getting myself in the game even if I am still the vote. I know I need to go down fighting, or it's not the game just isn't a big adventure like it's supposed to be

It would just be good if the amount of free time I have currently was in american timezones more, so I can stalk the online users list. But half the time I see them they've probably just loaded stuff up on the phone and not responding.

and if she does have this idol Rarity claims, it makes it seem like her to me.

Yeah not believing Chrysalis agreeing with my reasoning for why I'm pushing Pinkie.
Also makes me want to try actually turning the tables.

Maybe tomorrow, but probably not, I need to stick with the one angle, telling Pinkie I'm willing to change angles was just bad play.

Chrysalis is therefore my actual only hope, and I will cling to all hopes I can find as much as possible.

Rarity never responded to my alternate of getting the sugarcube/sweet apple acres thing together. She's locked as a vote against me.

For why Chrysalis is currently the only hope I have. But she doesn't want to believe what I'm telling her about why she needs me around on her side.

Coco has confirmed Chrysalis is playing with me.
Makes sense for the evil changeling Queen though.
Tomorrow I'm going to have to go back in there with compliments galore, because I am want her on my side.

Well it also depends how she answers my question about how shady I'm being with trying to tip the bus over.
Because there's stuff in here that would be useful for a future of me going after her.

Her self perceived naiveness. I haven't worked out how that goes against her, or how much lying it includes.

Rarity is now offering to help me. I'm confused on this situation.

I've turned down said help, maybe the group conversation idea might have worked, but I have no idea what Coco is actually telling the others.

also spamming the princesses with random guesses for the mayor's party thing is hard work when sent items don't appear in conversation form, I have to keep changing my inbox settings. well I probably don't, but I keep changing them back on myself each time I thing I've come up with a stupid guess.
