I know it's the one the show uses, but it's hellishly frustrating as a Juror. Even discounting the whole 'now I'm having to jostle for attention with everypony else in the same thread' thing, categorising your questions is an absolute pain as most of them apply to more than one aspect and some apply to none of the mentioned ones.

It was a serious offer, and if people are talking about intentionally subverting the FTC process then it seems to me like an offer to dispense with it was indeed called for.

I just don't see any benefit to this whatsoever. It's such a dumb system in the show - it needlessly restricts questions by arbitary categories that are mainly just there as a fun catchphrase - and it doesn't get any better online, even with the attempt to make the categories make slightly more sense. Categorising by Juror asking the question is so much better because that divide is far more relevant to the aim of FTC.

Okay look, we're frustrated by the format because it makes it difficult for us to do the job you're asking of us which is to choose a winner. I'm sure Dash was joking about everypony getting involved, but even if she wasn't, there's no need to react that way. You want us to choose the best winner for your game and the way we can best do that is to ask them about what they've done and how they've done it, and we're just trying to find a way that we can do that within the confines you've placed on us with your format. I am sure a lot of discussion went into your choice here, and we're not trying to discount that whatsoever. But we also want to be able to ask the finalists what we want to know of them so that they get the fairest chance to present their games to us at FTC, and trying to work that around a format that is difficult for some of us. That is all.

Please at least try to give the format a chance. We're not going to be hard-ass about what question belongs there, its just a general structure to the TC.

Lol I don't see why everypony's getting upset over the format, im still quite new to this so don't fully know a lot but I can see advantages to this format such as it stopping the finalists from having to answer in like 8 different threads sometimes getting the same questions by multiple jury members

Either way this isn't about us, this is about the finalists and whatever works best for them, we've still got the easy job here
