It's a cliche for reality show contestants to say "I'm not here to make friends" but that's really a shame because friendship is the key for having a team work together! When you have the right blend of loyalty, generosity, kindness, laughter, and the magic of friendship, you will find that your tribe can work in harmony and overcome any obstacle.
Today we will be testing your ability to support each other. There will be three tasks for everypony in your tribe to complete - a Timing task, a Puzzle task, and a Word task. You must designate two Experts for each of these tasks. Nopony can be an Expert for multiple tasks, so every player except one will be an expert in one of the challenges.
Once these roles are assigned, each player will complete each of the tasks. The maximum time for each task is 30 minutes. If you exceed this time, it will default to the maximum.
Once everypony has finished the tasks, experts will give "assistance" on the tasks they've been assigned to. Assuming the expert wasn't the slowest on their assigned task, time will be taken off of a team's slowest member on an task, while time is added onto that task's fastest expert at the same rate. Once both experts on an task have matching times, they'll equally split the time of the slowest member. This continues until either 1) the time of the slowest member matches the time of the expert(s), or 2) a tie is reached for slowest time on a task. If the latter is true, all tied players will continue having their time reduced while the experts' times increase at double the rate (or triple if there are 3 tied players, etc.) This continues until both experts have the same time as the tied players. The details of this process may be hard to understand, but your optimal strategy is essentially to have everypony be as fast as possible, and if your expert on an task is faster than everypony else, it'll help your overall time. Through this process, your cumulative time across all team members will remain the same on each task. The only difference is that the time is being more evenly distributed.
Your tribe’s score on each challenge will be equal to the final time of the SLOWEST member after the expert’s assistance has been calculated in. The two tribes with the lowest combined time over each obstacle will win immunity!
