imma be honest he kind of deserves it -- even if i was kinda cheering for him as he seemed like he could have been in a good enough place to just hide behind the bonnanos while paulie VS bob played out

Wait, it won't hand over until 9pm, right?  So if Viola is paranoid enough she could use it first.  And Shady has no chance to save his hide with it because he already missed the last chance for it to pass before TC ends, which I forgot about before.

I think people are still assuming it's out of reach too much, so they're not gunning for it enough...  Viola may try to claim it back though but eventually Bobfather will probably claim it for keeps.

Correct. The idol only changes hands every 24 hours. So if Viola were to play it here or someone else gets a better score before 9pm, then bobfather would not get it.
