Like, at best, bride and groom claiming gives scum two ICs to shoot. At worst, it gives them two ICs to shoot that they also then give them bonuses.
Is the incremental gain of not potentially wagoning them up worth it, since we should definitely set precautions to prevent them from getting quick hammered. I don't think execution should be an issue here, since this is a good player list.
Like, an additional benefit to delaying the bride and groom claiming is the benefit of an IC not revealing day 1 - confirmed town are more powerful the further into the game you are.

Cabd out.

Tie any PR or additional shots to the bride or groom getting NK'd.
Come to think of it, I think a bunch of us from JobPick are in this game (which had a mechanic like that).

No matter what "bonuses" scum may or may not get, we outright lose if either roles get lynched. Period.
Game loss > potentially harder game

They're named townies where everyone in the game is informed that they are town.
The net result is pretty similar.
And you're right, we are weighing primarily taking away the ability for scum to fakeclaim the named townies against any potential drawbacks of them claiming. I'm not convinced it's worth it right away versus waiting a few day phases.

It's pretty easy to prevent the auto-loss if we set up rules around how far along you can wagon people before we force a claim. This player list is competent enough to not fuck that up.

I am sad that my knee jerk reaction to this was to burst out laughing XD
(even though it is actually true with this playerlist)

Confirming that the ffery curse is apparently only limited to newbie games, so yay on that one too.
Also also, I'm going to go grade and let you guys argue this one out. But, I don't see a problem with the pair claiming; I thought from the way that Bro was talking it was assassins in the balance or something, but meh scry's right it says lynched.
Bro - why would you assume scum get something if they kill cabd/peng?
