Mafia 89: Revenge (Game Over)

One day, not so long ago, the Mafia, an insidious underworld organization, had tried to infiltrate a small town in the American South. The Mafia hadn't tried anything overt - that wasn't their style. They were just there to sell drugs, guns, and regulate local trade. However, the townspeople reacted with brutal, shockingly destructive force.

It's been a few years, and the town has recuperated a bit from the bloodbath. There have been marriages and births and funerals. The small town has begun to forget it ever happened. New people are even moving in. Some of them are others from nearby towns. Some are a little standoffish, but that's probably because they're from up north.

Some of them are Italian.

The Don in charge of the expansion was furious. Gone are his thoughts of expanding his commerce and his profits - now he's out for blood.

Rules

Game Mechanics

1) A majority of the votes is required to lynch a player. Votes are made in the format Vote: Playername. Votes that are not in this format will not count. Unvoting (in the format Unvote) before voting another player is appreciated but not mandatory.

2) During the Day phase, players will discuss and vote until a player has been lynched. You can vote for a no-lynch, which will end the Day phase with no lynch, using the format

Vote: No Lynch

; this also requires a majority of votes.

3) Once the vote required to reach a majority for a lynch has been cast, that lynch (or lack thereof) is set in stone. Unvoting will not undo the lynch, and the game will enter the Twilight phase.

4) During the Twilight phase, players (including any player whose lynch has been decided) are still allowed to discuss, but votes will be ignored. The Twilight phase has an indeterminate length of time, as it is simply the length of time between the actual lynching vote, and the death scene/thread lock.

5) During the Night phase, you may have special abilities - see your role PM. If actions are not sent in within three days (weekends counting as one day), your action for that night will be forfeit.

Activity

6) Any player who hasn't posted in three days will be prodded if and only if another player requests it inthread. From there, they have another three days to open their prod. After three prods, the player will be replaced.

7) If you know you will be inactive for more than a two-day period (weekends counting as one day), please inform me either in thread or by sending me a PM. Posting in the V/LA thread is meaningless because I don't read it.

8) Each day will last no longer than 2x days, where x is the number of living players. If a lynch has not been reached by this time, the player who possesses the greatest number of votes will be lynched. In the case of a tie, the player to have least recently reached that number will be lynched.

Miscellaneous

9) Do not discuss this game outside this thread, unless you have a role which allows this. If you have a role that allows you to discuss this game outside this thread, do so only as the role PM allows you to.

10) Once you're dead, don't post. Period. Not even a "Bah" post.

13) Don't piss me off. This rule was going to be "Don't be an asshole", but being an asshole is sometimes a valid strategy. So then it was going to be "Don't prevent others from enjoying the game", but then I realized that some things that are integral parts of the game (such as losing, or being lynched) are unenjoyable. So then I was unable to clearly define the spirit of this rule, so the closest I can come is "Don't piss me off."

14) If you disagree with a decision I make, I will likely be amenable to discussing it... privately. Don't pollute the thread; send your complaint or request to me via PM.
