Mars or Dove Caramel?

UK scummer, so I'll say Galaxy Caramel. It's the exact same thing.

What's the colour of your socks?

I've taken to wearing one black and one white lately.

Vig or SK?

Never SK'd, but I'd love to.

Penguins or dolphins?

Oh, Penguins all the way.

Favorite...
...female singer?

Jenny Lewis, from Rilo Kiley

...male singer?

Frank Black

...movie?

Changes a lot, but right now it's Chasing Amy

...actress?

I don't really have one, but I seem to really like all Rosario Dawson's movies.

...actor?

George Clooney usually makes films I enjoy

...alcoholic drink?

Coniston Bluebird Bitter, or Kopparberg Pear or Gin and Tonic depending on the bar.

...non-alcoholic drink?

Earl Grey Tea

...ice cream flavor?

Miny choc-chip if we're being generic, Ben and Jerry's Funk Monkey if not.

...country?

I really loved Hungary but I didn't see much of it, France was also amazing and I saw plenty of that.

Do you know who Albert Canet is (without googling)?
Do you know who Carl Gary Greenidge is (without googling)?

No and No.

What's the first thing you think when you hear "Mexico"?
What's the thing you associate the most with Mexico?

Mexican food, all about the mexican food.

What's the first thing you think when you hear "The Netherlands"?
What's the thing you associate the most with the Netherlands?

Orange football shirts come up first, followed quickly by Steve McLaren's hilarious fake dutch accent.

Have you ever heard a Dutch artist singing?
Would you like to hear one?

Herman Brood, thanks to Frank Black, and he was OK.

What turns you on?

Geeky girls.

Should I keep this avatar or should I return to my previous one?

Think I liked the old one better.

Favorite scumtell?

Being non committal. I think it looks much townier when people are sticking their neck out.

Least favorite?

'Too townie'. Blech.

Open or closed setup?

Oh, closed. Open setups lead to too much fannying about trying to break it for the town in my experience.

Where were you in Hungary?

I was in Budapest, twice. Once for Sziget, and once to train as a teacher.

What should I call you?

Well Porochaz when you call me, You can call me Liam.
Most people settle for CML though, which I find amusing in a very slight way.

How old are you?

I'm twenty-three, but I never act like it.

(If applicable) Did you go to Uni? What Course?

I did three months of Politics and Russian at Leeds, then dropped out.

What career?

Since then I've worked tech support, English language teaching and right now I'm the assistant manager of a bar. Wouldn't call any of them my career so we'll wait and see on that one

Why was Politics your chosen major?

Because I didn't get the grades to study English Literature at my chosen University, and because I was and still am fascinated by politics.

Why did you drop out?

The course wasn't particularly interesting and I've never really been that academic. As such I very quickly realised it wasn't for me and took off.

Russian? Really?

Yeah. My Dad lived in Moscow at the time, and I've always been good with languages. He's since come home but Russian was handy while I was in Azerbaijan and reading A Clockwork Orange.

Favorite novelist?

In flits between George Orwell and Douglas Coupland, although Gabriel Garcia Marquez floats my boat a lot too.

Playwright?

I'm not the biggest expert on drama, but I've enjoyed Shakespeare every time I've studied him. Ditto Arthur Miller.

Poet?

Siegfried Sassoon, Sylvia Plath and Ted Hughes. I have a soft spot for Bukowski's poetry too.

Is it possible to describe my awesomeness in 5 or less words?

None that I know of.

sup?

Not much. I'm procrastinating instead of getting up and showering and then work.

Can I call you Liam?

Sure!

If you could go back in time to change one thing, what would you change and why?

I'd like to see what would have happened if England hadn't re-instated the monarchy after our civil war. Obviously there are thing's that would save more lives, but this is the one that I'd find interesting rather than worthy.

Who are... your 'top 3' favourite people, or idols?

Bloody hell. Well There's Patrick Stewart. He's from my home town so I follow his work pretty closely. Still never seen him doing Shakespeare but I'll try and catch him doing Waiting for Godot next year. After him it's probably Neil Gaiman who is one of the nicest coolest people I've ever met, and then I couldn't say. I'm usually very disappointed when I find out more about ym favourite writers and arty types, so I try not to dig too deep lately.

Top 5 favorite songs?

Pixies - Where is My Mind, Hell is for Heroes - She Drove Me To It, Catatonia - Don't Need The Sunshine, Radiohead - Karma Police, Millencolin - No Cigar

What did you think of Moby Dick? I've been meaning to read it for a while, but haven't yet.

I wasn't huge on it. I thought it did what it did very well but it was light on plot and while I'm usually fine with that I had real trouble empathising with Captain Ahab.

Radiohead is always a solid choice; Catatonia--Don't Need the Sunshine is fairly nice, but definitely not jawdropping; Hell is for Heroes has a very shiny guitar riff in the beginning, a nice beat, and overall a pretty nice song (could've done with a proper guitar solo, though); the Pixies' song is another classic choice. The Millencolin song annoys me. All in all, I'd give a 3.6 out of 5.

Does every post have to contain a question?

Most of mine don't, but I don't make the rules here.

Erm.. what is your favourite food?

I have no idea. I can never turn down good cheesecake, but I'm more of a savoury foods guy. I can eat shrimp until the cows come home though, especially if it's fresh.

What was your favourite food when you were a child?

It was once chocolate eclairs, but then I ate too many one time so it probably ended up being pizza.

How did you discover the game of mafia and/or mafiascum.net?

I found mafia from another forum that I lurked on, then mafia scum from being pointed at the wiki. The games here were friendlier so it was here I ended up playing most.

Top 5 dream jobs?

I'd love to be a writer, of any kind. Books, Comics, even TV would eb great. Beyond that I have no idea. I'd love to own my own bar or bookshop some day, but they're a long way off. The idea that I'd have five potential careers is a bit weird if you know me.

Top 5 goals?

Again, I'm not really a goal oriented guy. I'd love to be published and I know I want kids, but beyond that I'm sure I can find happiness in any life I end up in. Oh, I would love to go back to Tokyo. Let's have that as one.

Top 5 movies?

Bit easier. For now it's Chasing Amy, The Royal Tenenbaums, Evil Dead 2, Goodbye Lenin, and Pulp Fiction. Next month I'm sure It's a Wonderful Life and Mr Smith Goes to Washington will crack the list. I come over all Capra every winter.

I've never really been one for songs with big solos, and I like that HifH never did big ones. Friggin' love the Mllencolin song though, and Catatonia's album there was on constant play for about six months after it came out. Don't Need The Sunshine was the most listenable track on it and really stuck with me.

baseball or hockey?

I usually watch a couple of hockey games during the winter olympics, but not really either.

How far would a government have to go before you were in support of a violent revolution?

They'd have to be corrupt on zimbabwean standards before that kicked in. Even then I'm a pacifist and would only turn to violence as a very last resort.

Whats your favorite youtube video?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZWM_khN4UL0
Not really a big youtube guy (my PC is 8 years old so it doesn't do well with videos) but I saw this over the summer and liked it.
