Marathon Day officially begins 00:00 GMT September 27 and runs til 07:00 GMT September 28. Discuss game ideas, times you'll be on, and any other preparations that need to be made here.

I'll be keeping an eye on CPU Quota issues - if it becomes significantly worse, we'll suspend MD3 until a later date. Don't refresh threads constantly, but refreshing every minute or so shouldn't effect things significantly. Please remember that if you try to do something on the site and it stalls for more than a couple seconds, hit stop on your browser, wait a sec, and then try again.

How about... 'Logic Mafia'. It will need a little preparation, but that can be done today. 7 players - 5 town, 2 mafia who can talk all the time (in quicktopic, obviously). No powerroles. Everyone gets a role pm with their Name and a clue - For example: "three names contain the letter A, one of these is mafia", or "the longest name in the game isn't mafia". Make the clues so that if the players work together they can figure it out. Except that the mafia can of course provide whatever false clues and false names and misguided lines of reasoning they like.

*shrug* I happen to like both. Besides, it will still be about figuring out who's lying. And looking at the old games in this forum, weird variants seem to be perfectly ok.

I also wasn't planning on forcing people to join a game they don't like - so I don't really see the point of your post

Nah, I've got a few original concepts I might try.

"Poker, You Bastard!" is still in production.
"Bastard Face Mafia" is nearing completion

Doubt I will have either fully planned by tomorrow with what is going on for me as of late, but I should be able to play one or two games.

If I get lucky, I may get time to run a special "Bad Idea" variant Mafia game I have pretty close to completion. I'll either call it "WorsT Idea Mafia" or "Poker's Idea Mafia" and forget the Bastard twists. Or I'll finish mapping out the Bastard twists and call it "Bastard Idea Mafia". Mapping out that twist is the only thing left to do.

I've got 4 or 5 ideas worth running. 3 are 16 or 17 players (so may be better at other times)
And the final two I will definitely be running:

Speed Dating Mafia
And
Bracket Tournament Mafia... (A 16 player single elimination bracket (players vote between two on who they wish to die(in a similar style to those song ones done in mish mash)), once it reaches final 4 random mafia overtakes)

Will definitely be in some games tomorrow, and probably a few tonight. Might run a BirdC9 and/or Bodyguard 7. Might also try an improved version of Double Mafia.

I'll be running an 8P Semi-Open at some point. If I'm around at midnight GMT I'll run it then as a kickoff thing, if not I'll run it tomorrow sometime.

Blef. Supper Club tonight when it starts, then sleep at some point, then getting ready for and running D&D Saturday afternoon, then visiting a friend in the hospital. Looks like I'll miss all but maybe the end of this one... However, I'll run a Hurt/Heal game (like War in Heaven) then, if anybody is interested.
