Take a look at this cartoon: http://silversteingallery.com/images/Ad ... merica.jpg be sure it is displayed full scale so that you can read the words.
9. What is the most concise and accurate summery of that cartoon you can generate?
10. In what ways do you disagree with its thesis?
11. Have you ever seen a painting by Mark Rothko in the flesh?
12. How do you rank the following artists in terms of artistic greatness?
Andrew Wyeth, Norman Rockwell, Andy Warhol, Willem de Kooning
13. Have you ever attempted to read James Joyce'sUlysses?
14. Did you finish it?
15. Is drum and bass a genre of jungle, or is jungle a genre of drum & bass, or are they the same thing, or are they similar but seperate genres, or do you not have an opinion?- Lawrencelot

Okay. I am Laurens Bliek, 18 years old and I live in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. I study applied mathematics at the TU Delft, and my hobbies include playing the oboe, saxophone, mafia, and super smash bros. I am half Brazilian, speak 5 languages, and I am a Christian (protestant). The rest is up to you to ask.Andycyca wrote:You may post an introduction post before answering questions.

-Guarana, unfortunately only available in Brazil.
-Too much choice, I'd go with a good red wine.
-For some reason, pineapple (Hawaii) goes really well on pizza, with the correct other ingredients.
-Chocolate+banana, chocolate+hazelnut, chocolate+vanilla, chocolate+mokka, anything with chocolate is fine.
-Vanilla townie in a theme game with messed-up game mechanics
For some reason, I forgot (maybe I thought it would start at 8 PM here, not China time). I watched a few minutes the day after, the crowd with drums was pretty cool.did you see the Olympic Games Inauguration ceremony? What did you like the most?

Oh no, not this question... mind you, I'm not really into art.Adel wrote:Take a look at this cartoon: http://silversteingallery.com/images/Ad ... merica.jpg be sure it is displayed full scale so that you can read the words.

9. Seems they are ordering artists from abstract to illustrative. Left is abstract, right is illustrative. I assume they also ordered it chronologically from the roots to the tops, but I'm not sure if that is in fact the order.
10. I don't agree or disagree, I don't know any of the names in the cartoon except Van Gogh, Picasso, Mondriaan and Dali, but why they are represented on the places they are is a mistery to me. I don't find Dali abstract at all, yet Dali is totally on the right.
11. Probably not.
12. I don't know these artists.
13. No.
14. No.
15. I'd say... seperate genres.- hasdgfas

dream theme for a mafia game?
1) I think Newbie 556, it was exciting till the end. Should I have lost, it would have been the worst though, because I was acting rather scummy at the start.
2) Mini 567 - Ipick, but here "best"="most enjoyable"
3) Mini 483 - Fire Emblem Mafia. I got lynched Day 1 because ABR, who was a death motivator, fake-claimed 1-shot day cop with a guilty on me. A frikking one-shot day cop!
4) Open 21 - Friends and Enemies. I thought this was the game where I was the only townie who thought the masons were scum and the scum were masons... I was one of the reasons town lost.
5) Age of Mythology is a game of which I've always liked the theme. Putting 3 mythologies together (Greek/Roman, Norwegian, Egyptian) in one game is pretty cool.- Korts

Least favourite scumtell... I hate it when townies call WIFOM too soon, but I don't know if that's an answer to the question.

I don't know any poets at all, sadly (except Shakespeare?).

I don't remember that much of the game. Was it you who I thought was town mason all the time, but who was scum? If that's the case, you probably were one of the other reasons town lost.Adel wrote:

Finally, people will have the opportunity to Get To Know me...
- What kind of music do you enjoy?
- Is it correct to use "Holland" interchangeably with "The Netherlands" when referring to your homeland?
- Are you a fan of the Knights of the Round Table, or is your username just a convenient pun?
- Can you think of any particular reason why the Dutch are such strong Olympic swimmers? I can understanding Australians being good (what with all the ocean), is just that yours is a sporting nation?"You were doing well until everyone died."

-Only in English. In Dutch, Holland is an old province that consisted of the current provinces Noord-Holland and Zuid-Holland. The name of the country is Nederland.
-Not really a fan, I like medieval/fantasy themes in general, and Lancelot mixes well with my name. I first used it in an MMORPG I don't remember.
-The Dutch have always been masters of the water (seafaring, building dikes, etc.). I don't know if it's like this in the rest of the world, but here almost all children take swimming lessons at a young age, and a certain percent of them continues with it as a sport, though football is the biggest sport here. Knowing how to swim has always been important in this country. Remember that half of our country is under sealevel. I am currently 1 meter below sealevel according to this map.- Cass

Which party will you vote next elections?
Will that be the first time you vote?
After you finish university, do you want to go into research / teaching / other?
What weird power role would you like to get one day? (Something you made up or something you've seen.)
What's your favorite sport?
How old were you when you learned to swim?
And when you learned to ride a bicycle?
Have you lived in Holland all your life? Do you intend to?
Do you believe the evolution theory and the bible are mutually exclusive? Can't bake an omelette without killing a few people.- Lawrencelot

-Yes
-I don't really know yet, but teaching doesn't pay enough around here, so I'll just try to find a good company.
-I've been A Scientifically, Historically, and Politically Astute Unesurrectable Gossip Monger that can prevent lynches and choose mason buddies, I think my creativity can't surpass that. But I'll try anyway: someone who can edit other's posts (mod-handled of course).
-Football, though I only watch international games. For playing, I like ball-sports in general.
-I think I was 6 when I started, and then every year I got a new diploma, from A to C, so it should be somewhere near my 7th year when I knew how to swim.
-I started with trycycles, then bycycles with... sidewheels (is that the word?) then bycycle around the age of 5.
-Yes, although I moved 3 times. I don't know if I stay here, I'm good with languages so that's no problem, but I'll just see what happens.
-Partly, yes. For example, that apes and humans have the same ancestors.- Andycyca

-I've never heard of pen&paper RPG's. Yes, I play RPG's, especially MMORPG's.
-I just started with Shaiya (pretty standard MMORPG, but very cool). But my favourite RPG would not be an MMORPG, but Fire Emblem. If you want it more specific: Fire Emblem Path of Radiance.
-For 1 year, I think I'd study Danish in Denmark. I've been there once and really liked the language, though it's pretty useless (even less native speakers than Dutch).Andycyca wrote:Suppose...
