Scum who haven't shot are a different proposition. They need to be caught the traiditional (well, you know what I mean) way. This is just a stress free way of catching scum who have already used their bullet, and I think it's a worthwhile use of even a townies bullet to kill a scum without one. Obviously, it could just as easily be a scum who has to use their bullet as well, so it's not like we can guarantee for it to be a scum, either.

The Townies without bullets, from a game mechanic point of view, are completely useless at this point, whilst the scum without bullets are a threat. Removing the Bulletless guys from the game means that we eliminate one of the threats for the cost of some irrelevant townies and a couple of bullets.

The random kills haven't helped a lot. There was little motive behind most of the kills, so it's hard to pick out scummy behaviour - a lot of players were just shooting because they could.
Similarly, it's not going to be easy to scumhunt those who still have their shots left; because we don't have any vote mechanic, the only scummy thing to do is shoot somebody. And if there are scum refusing to use their shot so that they can use it to finish off the town once they've picked each other off, that removes the only real action that can be seen as scummy.

This is a good point, and we need to remember that the remaining scum can win the game without firing a shot anyway. I can't see that the town has anything to lose if players who've used their shot get themselves killed - it actually benefits the town, as it means we won't waste our remaining kills.

It's going to be an interesting game :P
But try to lay off random kills now.

This is my last post in this game, townies who have used their bullets should STOP POSTING AND BE KILLED BY INACTIVITY.

Any who continue to post and do not die after a week are scum or stupid.

Townies who still have their bullets should NOT WASTE THEM ON THOSE WHO HAVE ALREADY USED THEIR BULLET.

That's all I have to say, I can only hope you'll listen.

I think the thing to do now is to wait until all those who have used their kill are either modkilled or post, revealing that they are scum.

Perhaps we could have those at the top of the list with bullets shoot the scum revealed in that manner. We could then do the same thing: wait until the townies without bullets self-destruct and the scum do something to save themselves, then have the next in line shoot them, then wait. So on and so forth.

This would:
A: Force scum among those who haven't lost their bullets to shoot.
B: Possibly out scum if they hesitated to shoot, if one of their scum buddies was up to be killed by them.

Regardless, right now we need to let the townies who've used their bullets self-destruct, and then shoot the scum left.

I was debating just flat out /dice random, but I think Empkings suggestion is probably the better one. From the tops ok in a sense in that it's good at knocking out confusion, but I don't think it's better than the other two, especially Emps. His is weak from the point of view it punishes bad town play, but I can live with losing cause I played badly.

But we limit the amount town shoots to almost guaranteed scum (refusing to suicide). Less waste.

...but seriously, The Pope's Tiara was replaced in a number of games recently, so shooting him would be pointless since he'll probably be killed anyways. It'd be a good idea to look at the player list for more inactives not to waste bullets on. Or at least if you're going to shoot, shoot someone you know isn't inactive.

Also what's with roles not listed on the player list? This game is no-reveal for lazy people. :cry:

It looks like even some of the loaded might get modkilled due to inactivity. I dont think that Caboose, SensFan, Jebus, and even others have posted in a while. Give em a couple more days, and a modkill is at their door.
