(format created by Drench and slightly modified by us; previous game here)
Welcome one and all to a game that’s been sitting in our Social Game Archives that we are breathing some new life into! Do you like Allocate/Execute but wish you could have more influence on who is up for elimination without removing your ability to keep voting? Do you like Spitfly, but wish you didn’t have to pay attention to a grid? Do you like Big Brother but those pesky challenges keep you from nominating the people you really want out of the game? Well, then Nomination may just be the game you’re looking for! We are looking for 14, 15, 16, 18, or 20 players.
- Each round is split into two phases: Nomination and Eviction. Both have 24-hour deadlines ending at 6 PM Pacific each day.
- In a change to the original format, at the start of the Nomination phase, players will usually receive a hint about the number of players that will be nominated.
- In the Nomination phase, each player must give 3, 2, and 1 point(s) to three different other players.
- At the end of the Nomination phase, a predetermined number of players with the most points will be nominated for eviction.
- In the Eviction phase, players must cast one vote for one of the nominated players. The player receiving the most votes is evicted.
- In the subsequent round, only players who did notvote for the evicted player will be eligible to cast nomination points. These players will not be publicly acknowledged. If a vote is unanimous, all players may cast nomination points. When there are 5 players left, everyone can cast nomination points again regardless of whether they voted for the previous eliminee the round before.
- At a predetermined point, eliminated players will join a Jury, which will deliberate on the eventual winner among the last 3remaining players.
- 24 hours will be given for each Nomination and Eviction vote. You may give conditional votes in advance for either Nomination or Eviction rounds just in case. Not voting will either a) cast all six nomination points for yourself, or b) place a self-vote, regardless of if you are nominated or not. Not voting in an Eviction will additionally cast threenomination points for yourself and forfeit the rest in the next Nomination phase.
- Ties in the Nomination phase will result in all tied players being nominated. Ties in the Eviction phase will require a revote, after which rocks will be drawn to eliminate a random non-tied player. A tie in the final four will instead trigger a countback using nomination points, with the tied player receiving more historical points being eliminated.
- All votes and nominations are private. You must vote and nominate in each round.
- Nominations and eviction votes may be changed once submitted. Nominations and eviction votes should be submitted in your decision channel in the discord.
- This game contains a single hidden Diamond Power of Veto. The Diamond Veto may be played to remove yourself or another player from the eviction vote, the person who this is played on will not be eligible to be voted. There will not be a replacement nominee. At a certain point in the game, this power will expire.
- Don't be a dick. Don't flame, troll, or otherwise a) play maliciously or b) not play to win.
- All mod errors should be raised in private.
- You may communicate with players in public or private.
- This game has twists. All twists have been predetermined.
Post /in in this thread if you wish to play, and /spectate if you wish to watch, and we’ll make sure you get the proper role once you join the discord. Signups are planned to close and the game set to begin in the evening of Friday, Jan. 27. We estimate the game will take about a month.
