we started playing chess a few months ago
a couple days ago we started using lichess instead of chess.com and it's way better 0_0
also somehow we're beating some 10-1100's? even though we're only 800 on chess.com? so that's cool
anyway this game is fun

"Let us say that you are right and there are two worlds. How much, then, is this 'other world' worth to you? What do you have there that you do not have here? Money? Power? Something worth causing the prince so much pain for?'"
"Well, I..."
"What? Nothing? You would make the prince suffer over... nothing?"

my opponent played the englund gambit against me in daily chess. i rarely see the englund gambit and it's strange to me that someone would play it in daily chess of all places

Lichess and Chess.com use different rating systems, so most people have higher ratings on Lichess than on Chess.com and vice versa!
I approve of the switch though, Lichess is better in every way

i was forever stuck in the 200-700 (cc) rating hellhole for the 9(?) or so years i've played chess. I've usually had interest in chess for 2 months, grind, get demotivated, quit for 6 months, try again. I mostly do puzzles now.

can anyone tell me how to win bishop and pawns vs. pawns, idk what to do when op puts all their pawns on the opposite color of my bishop

Do you have an example position? If I understand the question right, the strat is to attack their furthest-back pawn with your king, and then cut off their king so they're forced to move it away and leave the pawn undefended.
It's always the same. When you fire that first shot, no matter how right you feel, you have no idea who's going to die. You don't know whose children are going to scream and burn. How many hearts will be broken. How many lives shattered. How much blood will spill, until everybody does what they're always going to have to do from the very beginning... SIT DOWN AND TALK!

Set up to attack the next line I’d guess

when stockfish says you made 2 blunders but they're both the same 6-move tactic where your opponent can sac their bishop and knight and win your queen

As someone who mostly dabbles in puzzles and plays the AI on chess.com what makes lichess better?

My brother-in-law has several of the courses offered by GothamChess which is neat because I watch GothamChess’ videos on YouTube
