Welcome, ..., you are Slaking. Your lazy ass may only post up to a maximum of 3 posts per day. Posts that contain votes do not count towards the limit of 3 posts. However, if you are targeted, the restriction will be removed for the following day and placed upon the player(s) that targeted you. You win with the town.
People would just include votes in all of their posts to sidestep the restriction, also that role isn't fun and it lowers activity.
What do you see the upsides to it being?
Routine day with a dirt cheap brush
Then a week goes by and it goes untouched
Then two, then three, then a month
Then the rest of your life, you beat yourself up
Ehhh, it's kind of like a watcher towards themself.
Also, what do you think would be a better way to variate it? t's for a poke themed game I'm making and I couldn't really think of much else for slaking.

Make their actions delayed / pseudo-unblockable like a poisoner to showcase the slowness and brute power.

You are a Vengeful Lover. You have a quicktopic with [player], who is town aligned. If you die, he/she will commit suicide. If he/she is nightkilled you will become a compulsive town vigilante, but if he/she is lynched(without you on the bandwagon), you will become a serial killer. If you were on the bandwagon you will commit suicide. You win with the town, unless you become a serial killer.

These roles are by my reckoning hot-buttered awesome. Especially if both Lovers are Vengeful.
. Once per game during the Night, you may ask the Mod how many mafia members were on the
most recent
lynch.
Mod note- Godfathers' will be treated as Town in relation to this power. If role-blocked, or if there were no mafia on the lynch, the answer will be "no result".
I was reading something a while ago about proper 1-shot vig play in games with odd numbers of players, and thought of a role:
You are a
kill container
. At first, you have a doctor ability. If you successfully protect someone, you lose the doctor ability, but gain one use of the kill that was used against the player you protected. You win with the town.
Another thought:
You are a
sequential JOAT
. You have one shot of each of the following abilities:
{insert usual JOAT abilities here}
You must use these abilities in the order listed. You win with the town.
Thanks for putting Sequential JOAT in the thread! I suggested that as a fakeclaim to a scumbuddy during Worst Roles Mafia, now it'll be more believable in future games. (We were going to suggest it as a nerf of some other role in here, which would have been overpowered without a nerf.)
Bonus points if the first couple of sequential JOAT abilities are highly counterproductive for the person using them.

Armed Bodyguard would be the proper name, and Havingfitz deserves the credit for this particular role idea.
He can take credit for the name. How a bodyguard functioned was ambiguous between behaving like this, and behaving like we currently think of body guards for a very long time.

And no, he doesn't... I searched fitz's posts for 'bodyguard' because I wanted to see where he posted an idea for anything like this, and in Experimental Role Mafia where he claimed 'Armed Bodyguard', the role was quite different to what I suggested.
havingfitz wrote:If either the person I protect or I myself are targeted for a kill, I die…along with the person attempting the kill. If the person I protect and/or I myself are targeted for more than one kill, only the first kill will be retaliated on. Any subsequent kills will go through, barring other protective actions that may be in play, without retribution.
1. Action only activates on kills -- as opposed to my role where the action activates on any sort of targeting action
2. User dies -- as opposed to my role where no such thing happens
My role essentially allows the user to target another player to make them a PGO for that night. Think of it that way.

This I did not know, nor would I have ever in a million years thought of a bodyguard in this manner.
